  • gotta be one of the best executed throws of all time, flawless

  • and besides all that i said benny was super tough & could take a hard shot & keep coming maricano style

  • abtw just ask rion gracie benny beat him in his garage in torrance ca.grappling. he was a master martial artist who would have mastered jtzz. in todats mma game

  • look guys i sparred with benny he was complete boxing- judo-karate- master kicker. & yes he could wrestle.if he were in mma in his prime make no mistake heads would fall

  • whoa

  • fuck - Benny was freakin' insane. He fucked that guy up with pure timing.

  • I was looking for this fight ! somebody remember the name from the second fighter?

  • As much as I appreciate the kind words about Benny, a "real trained boxer" has little more than a puncher's chance (on average, assuming same weight division, etc) against a mixed-martial artist. While boxing plus grappling is a magic combination, boxing only (no matter how good your boxing is) will not be effective against a grappler.

  • @goddeloos

depends on the grappler depends on the boxer

  • First, I grew up in the town that Benny grew up in, in the SFV. Let me say that Benny is just one fuckin' bad ass mother fucker. In his prime, Benny could beat any of the paluckas you through at him. In fact, any real trained boxer can whip any of these brawling UFC fighters.

If UFC fighters had talent they be fighting for the WBF.

  • Why would they? Boxing is a dying sport, the popularity of the sport has delined massively over the last few years, whereas MMA is the fastest growing sport in the World.

(Hence the fact you hear the likes of Wayweather talking about fighting MMA)

  • I grew up training with Benny I know first hand the effectiveness of his system and exactly how boxing can be used in a fight but sir the fact is that the fights you see in today's ufc are much roes evolved and effective than boxing they are by no means brawling they are highly trained, skilled fighters and martial artists. Sir it really is better no joke

  • You're definately right.

  • lol

  • who say the jet has no grappling,he knows judo and jiu jitsu.

  • benny knows judo, and it is grappling.

  • sorry to tell you sir that the grappling in his system was simlpy not there, it was elementry at best very robotic and on real way to transfer the movements to fighting I have trained with sensei my entire life and that part was a missing element. I am the first one of the urquidez system to study grappling now I have a black belt in brazilian jiu jitsu sorry to tell you but that is true. And sir I love sensei, I just want you to know the truth....

  • undefeated in US kickboxing maybe but not full MT rules.

He lost that bout vs the thai but the US authorities " ruled " it a no contest .

  • He is officially undefeated, and there are no fights he "clearly lost". There are certainly fights that Thai fanboys wish that he lost, but that's another story. See Wikipedia. The Thais were not in a different league. As you can see, Urquidez' answer to the Thai clinch was a judo throw. The Thai fighters had better knees and clinch work. The Jet was better at EVERYTHING else.

That being said, in MMA "Chuck and Tito" would beat him easily. Urquidez was only 140lbs.

  • @goddeloos what a retarded statment chuck & tito. dude its 35 years later in a differant sport & urquidez was a light WT.theres always dicks watching & compairing KICK BOXING- POINT KARATE- TO MMA , there all totally differant sports

  • @goddeloos Your comments are naught but an 'apple vs orange' comparison. Pointless.

  • he wasn,t undefeated he has a few no-contest fights against thais were he clearly lost im not taking anything from him he was way ahead of his time but thailand will always be in a different league

  • but if benny were to take part in MMA, he would naturally adapt to it and fight more agrressively himself.

he is undefated kickboxer. thats not somehting to disregard.

  • haha..benny was a great fighter..but come one, there is no way he can handle himslef in the UFC..i think u better do some research bud before u state ur opinion..UFC is MMA (mixed martial arts) a lot of the fighters are skilled in all fighting techiniques which includes grappling..benny would get killed

  • your wrong matey benny is a tough cookie and h will fight under any rules therefore he might not be as good at MMA but he wud still whup some ASS

  • Its ashame this guy is'nt still fighting now he had 200 fights and NO losses. He would destroy the current UFC Guys (lidell, tito etc.)

  • LOL!!

Take your head out your ass.

  • That's what happens when you are old school. You happen to be worth a damn. Red neck athletes don't interest me like they should I guess.

  • Get real. First of all Chuck and Tito are 205 lbs. and Benny has no grappling to his name.

  • What the fuck? Benny has a black belt in ju jitsu.

But yeah, the weight thing renders the question a bit pointless.
