@rapatti007, thanks for your comment. I agree, these places are worth visiting although I think you will find that Udonthani has changed greatly since the 1980s, Nakhon Phanom and Nong Khai not so much.

That's right ToniDoll. There is nobody who can sing and dance like Tai. She is a marvellous performer. All the people in Isaan, Laos and Thailand can be proud of her. Some people forget that Tai is very, very popular in Laos too. For Tai Oratai, there is no border between Thailand and Laos, all like her. Thanks for your very perceptive comments.

@hyphybaby510, that is great. Tai has two versions of the Salawan song, and it has been performed by many singers in Laos and Cambodia too. By the way, Tai is touring the U.S. and Canada in October, and I will be seeing her on 23 October in Toronto. I met both Sunaree Ratchasima and Tukatan Chollada recently in Khorat, Thailand.
