@Flip19ochocinco I understand what you are saying by cotto throwing everything he had at marg. But the plaster took a few rounds to harden up and that was what gave marg an advantage. He started taking everything out of cotto so cottos punches late in the fight had no effect and he started to become stagnant. Without plaster Marg would have lost this fight on a decision or probably even a late stoppage. Remember the plaster Slowed cotto down for most of the second half of the fight.

He started taking everything out of cotto so cottos punches late in the fight had no effect and he started to become stagnant. Without plaster Marg would have lost this fight on a decision or probably even a late stoppage. Remember the plaster Slowed cotto down for most of the second half of the fight.

Loaded gloves are a crime. There is the story of a famous fighter in the early eighties who lost against a guy with loaded gloves. He lost everything, eventually his life. Margarito got off easy. And Cotto hopefully was not permanently damaged. At least this is the impression I have perceived from the Cotto-Foreman fight.

I think Cotto would have won against Pacquiao had he been in the condition he was in before the Margarito fight because you could see he was faster and more powerful. He wasn't affected by the Margarito fight or he didn't have the scars from that fight. Now he has moved up to a higher weight. I think the move was good and Cotto should be at a higher weight. I think at a higher weight he can become even stonger.
