idk where you people get your specs from lol but please stop reading car magazines the gt500 is a overweight slow car at 4200lb+ its not doing much it only puts down 420-430rwhp while the camaro weights only about 3725 and puts between 350-365rwhp the 500lbs makes a huge differance but at the end of the day its a drivers race just because it says 12s in car and driver doesnt mean thats what you will get out of it

@bigradke17 ..This is a new day ....My opinion is the days of 3200 lbs pony cars are over (IE) GPS / Safety equipment / traction control / etc has a major effect on weight. The Zo6/ZR1 are 2 seaters with all kinds of exotic materials and still weigh 3200 lbs plus.

@bigradke17 I'm all for bashing those cry-baby mustang lovers, but we do need to get some facts straight, and this coming from an SS LS3 owner. The GT500 would eat the SS alive. It weighs 3280lbs, something like 60lbs less than an SS, and has 550bhp, not 500. Either the guy in the video blew a couple of cylinders off or he's a pretty horrible driver.

That shelby driver cant drive. I owned a 2010 Camaro SS LS3 6 speed 426 hp, I recently bought a 2011 Shelby gt500 550 HP. and the Shelby would eat the Camaro for lunch in the quarter mile. I still love my Camaro but as the Comparo goes the Shelby is MUCH faster. Have a great day.
