@DJUsive1 1- it's loz, it's just one guy,me - loz so its Cheeky Bastard. 2 - I didn't rip this off D Kay a thinner Edge, i ripped this off the Babel soundtrack by Ryuichi Sakamoto. I was actually inspired by Total Science - Redlines (a much older track than Thinner Edge) and the future garage style of Submerse.3 - I had made my track before I'd come across the D Kay track,but i decided to with hold it due to the similarity. It was a blatant sample so i gave it away for free......problem?

@lozcontreras Fair play man, but then why not specify (or have Mr Sheep specify for you) where the melody IS sampled from instead of leaving people to assume (kinda fairly) that its from something else. This is obviously going to get listened to by a lot of D&B lovers so its a fair assumption they've heard Thinner Edge and NOT Babel. I don't have a problem, this a great tune and its nice to know where the sample is from, but I'm not the only one voicing that opinion!!

@DJUsive1 It really really doesn't matter what is written in comments or descriptions because 95% of people on youtube are complete idiots and never read the information that's right infront of them, then they ask the same questions. "Why does this sound like this?" when a previous comment completely explains why. If i should explain where the sample is from then shouldn't have D Kay done so as there were as many people wondering why that sounded exactly like Total Science - Redlines.

Except it clearly wasn't, was it? Since other people have voiced the same thoughts on it sounding like Thinner Edge and haven't been answered, but my somewhat rude (and now retracted) statement HAS - it seems that information has been passed. Now other people won't make the same mistake.

You COULD have answered that it's not originally D.Kay & Intoxicated's work, but sampled from a film. Instead you chose to insult, for no reason whatsoever. Grow up or shut up.

@MrSuicideSheep My point was that more people will have heard Thinner Edge than will have seen Babel within the likely listener-ship of this song, so the likelyhood is that people will assume (like I did, mistakenly!) that it's taken from Thinner Edge.

Quite happy to be proved wrong, but surely you can understand a) where the confusion arises and b) why it might annoy people who aren't in the know!

If you wanna use a sample in a track, use a fucking sample in a track, doesn't mean you're ripping someone else off for it. I produce and I've heard enough tracks in my life to tell you a lot of producers use the same samples or melodies, are you going to go and have a moan at them because it sounds slightly like another track?
