oh no........i know the answer now......its because the first equation is an emperical equation.....so water is not written as a product...but water is formed during photosynthesis......and the second equation is the general equation....actually i had to find the answer to the question for an assingment ...and now the teacher old us:)

listen what happens to the water produced because everywhere i see the equation is

CO2 6CO2 + 6H2O = C6H12O6 + 6O2.

and some places it 6CO2 + 12H2O = C6H12O6 + 6H2O + 6O2......PLZ PLZ IF U KNOW...THEN TELL ME...I HAVE AN EXAM IN 2 DAYS!!!!!

I don't think anyone at this time has the answer to that question. Studies show that water made from the oxygen 18 found in CO2 accumulates in the leaf, where the water is made. Some say that water stores memory and may be part of the plant's nervous system. Hope that helps. I don't think that the question was on your exam.
