yes they are back, they are resuming activity sometime around the end of august but withought thier bassist jun, who is still recovering from a hand injury

Uhh... It's like a mini podium. If the venue is big, the vocalist sometimes stands there to see and be seen by the people at the back.

O-WEST is not that big compared to other venues....

Oh wait, I know. Most lives in Japan have around five to eight bands participating so I think it's like an identifier or something... especially for people who don't know the band performing on the stage. The first reason also makes sense but this one seems like it.

well its not nesecarily an identifier. Its mostly a tool to the performance. Like the singer can stand above everybody. And There good to use for head banging, and they just are cool to have. I want to get one for my band...
