  • I wish we had a senator like Bernie Sanders in Australia

  • Thank God for Bernie!

  • You don't have the right to do any of this.

  • HUGE OPPORTUNITY EXISTS CLEANING FORECLOSED HOMES FOR BANKS

    hotshorturl(DOT)com/abl24

  • did you try turning up your volume?

  • This is way too quite I can barely hear him

  • Bernie is a Socialist. (I don't meant that as an insult but rather as an interpretation of his views.)

  • He's a self described Democratic Socialist.

  • Well put, Mr Sanders.

  • This guy is mindless. If government can create prosperity why has every government run economy had negative return?

I do agree that we should stop bailouts but then he says get rid of CEOs? lol on who's authority? you don't own the free market Bernie Sanders.

  • On whose authority do these wall street crooks get to dole out billions in bonuses after receiving hundreds of billions in taxpayer bailouts?

On their own. They own this place. It's time for them to go.

  • If the companies can't pay for good management they will do poorly and be run into the ground.

  • You mean like Citi bank, which is now valued at .99 a share? Yeah those guys sure are doing a bang up job. All of these execs have been dismal failures - focused on enriching themselves rather than developing a long-term, sustainable strategy for success.

What I don't get is why people still insist these guys are "good management". In fact the opposite is true, that's why we have pumped trillions of dollars in to rescue them!

  • They make the 500k a year... That is potentially the reason for the current devaluation.

  • No offense but that is one of the most asinine comments I've ever read.

I could give you a response but it would take paragraphs to explain everything from basic laws of physics to shapes to colors to letters...my god where do I start with you?

  • The point is the stupid regulations on pay were put in and, suprise suprise, CITI is going into the toilet.

  • Very True

  • great man, probably the only sane politician in the US

  • I like it

  • Times are getting rough thats for sure! Like you said...he's right on the money. Check out my video blog to see my challenge through this recession.

  • Bernie is a socialist parading under the banner of Independent. I do agree with his stance on the Wall Street Greed machine, tied at the hip with the Federal Reserve.

  • he is right on the money - no pun

  • All of the Federal Income Tax you pay, all of it, goes to a bank as profit, on loans to the government. Not one penny is spent on services of any kind, not one penny. You see only 35% of the budget comes from the income tax, the rest comes from other taxes collected by the government. This "bank" I am referring to is the Federal Reserve Bank. Which by the way, is no more Federal than FedEx.

It in fact is a private bank. The best slaves are the ones that believe they are free.

  • I disagree with firing all the CEOs but then i thought about it, he is absolutely right they caused a great disaster. If I caused my company to do the same I'm pretty sure I would get canned.

  • If the CEO's caused a great disaster then Bernie Sanders is bailing them out since he voted for the bail out package so he is nothing more than a hippcrit & the democrats tool - he hides behind the independent sign

  • In reply to MrHairy's comment: Somehow I think either you're not acknowledging the full logic of what Bernie Sanders is saying, you're oversimplifying the stimulus situation, or you're just being antagonistic.

  • Films like this are the NEW media of the future, not the old "major news outlets" which are losing viewers, and rightly so.

Spread the word! Senator Sanders NEEDS to be heard!

  • Senator Bernie Sanders should be interviewed on every major media outlet. . .

IF only the media corporations would let this happen.

  • He's right, but how do we restructure without firing every CEO, regulating how they spend their money, and abandon the financial heart of America?

  • YES, deregulation & NO regulation got us into this mess under "christian"repubican leadership. it wasn't just that they increased the federal budget with their pork, it was the fact they deregulated everythinig, thinking capitalism will police itself.

an example is commuications deregulations. 2 tv network stations in my market bought 2 independent stations. all they do is run infomericals. they are licensed to broadcast responsibly, but all we got is the loss of programing for commericals.

  • Actually the government keeping interest rates ridiculously low caused this, aswell as the community reinvestment act.

  • volume was low but could still be heard
