I'm from mabas 56. We went down in 2005. I was a very rewarding trip.

My sweetie is w/ the New Orleans Fire Dept. Ya'll were so great to come down and help us. Your school children sent us comfort packages. I got a card and "Hello Kitty " bandaids and other needed items from lil J. Kupenski(sp?) and loved it.

Thanks! We are very proud of him for going. It was a volunteer assignment and on the day he was called to go to New Orleans the news was reporting that rescue workers were being shot at and he still wanted to go. The most amazing thing is that I actually agreed to let him go!!
