  • Great model! Nice to see the kitchen rudder getting some RC use. Must have been some tricky engineering building the parts.

    I dont quite understand exactly how the rudder system works though, how do you get it to reverse? does the propeller rotate or something?

  • @chizwizzler The beauty of the kitchen rudder is that the prop doesn't need to pivot, or even stop. The prop is always rotating "ahead." When reverse is needed, the kitchen rudder "closes," and the thrust from the prop is re-directed forward. To stop reversing, the rudder "opens," allowing the propeller to push water astern again, and the boat moves forward.
