Deep stuff but this was HIGHLY dramatized and the couple was provoking trouble when most couples who are interracial (trust me I know, dated many white, asian, hispanic, black, etc men in my life) don't do that. The concept is noble, but realistically very outlandish. I would have been more satisfied if it touched on a real issue like that of what issues couples deal with in terms of family/friend perceptions rather than the drama displayed.

Deep stuff but this was HIGHLY dramatized and the couple was provoking trouble when most couples who are interracial (trust me I know, dated many white, asian, hispanic, black, etc men in my life) don't do that. The concept is noble, but realistically very outlandish. I would have been more satisfied if it touched on a real issue like that of what issues couples deal with in terms of family/friend perceptions rather than the drama displayed.

I mean I get the personal, inside jokes the two share between one another behind closed doors about how ridiculous all the discrimination they uneccessarily face is, but the shirts were too far. And it's not at all out place if someone takes the shirts offensively. Especially when, naturally, they get split up... I guess it made for a gut-wrenching story though...

This is the most stupid movie I've ever seen. When I first saw it years ago, I was dying with laughter. The guy is running on foot being chased by police carrying a black girl with a shirt saying "I love niggers". How stupid is that. I'm sorry, but they had it coming. Simply setting themselves up for trouble. If it was simply just them getting attacked without such shirts on, then it would be a different, more sympathetic story.
