This is the Vector SL. We have them on our transport, K9, and reserve squads. Their OK but I would much rather prefer a slim line bar.

I actually like it because on traffic stops I can just leave the steady red/blue on to the front and amber directionals to the rear so there is less change I get nailed by a DUI driver.

@15georgest LoL I am not too sure why the law is in place, and I am from California and a cop no less. It's in the CVC that at least one steady red light should be visible for 1000ft to the front and one amber light to the rear. Some say it was from the older days and it has just stuck. I have also heard it's so people with epilepsy don't have seizures from all the flashes (something steady to fix on)

That steady red law. What's that all about? I never understood the point of that. I'm from the east coast and it's unheard of out here. I see it on the show "cops" sometimes and i am baffled!

2 things #1-I wish they would change the flash pattern to where it flashes the blue at once, then the red. From all sides it shows a better attention grabing contrast when you have one color flahing at a time. Their motorcycles have the same issue, it looks like a purple blob from a distance.

#2 - The LED flash tubes they picked for the brake and front corner lights don't seem very bright. I saw them and they seem quite dim. I noticed NLVPD's were brighter, & they used blue in the reverse.

I wonder why Ford is discontinuing the Crown Vic. 95% of the Taxi's I see in Las Vegas and 95% of the marked police cars here in Vegas are all Crown Vic! I assume it must be the same way in other parts of the country as well.

not quite sure but ive heard it has something to do with the roll out of the impala, at my department we are issued take home vehicles most are crown vics and most of our spare cars are impalas, when my car is getting serviced i get an impala spare and they are terrible, terrible gas mileage and horrible pick up, i have a hard time catching up to someone to issue a ticket but i think they are getting rid of the crown vic because of gms new cars

@KTFProductions1 have you seen the new police "e7" 6 cylinder 3.0 litre diesel, with 300 bhp they have bmw engines bmw are to produce 25,000 of theese engines and the company carbon motors have designed the "e7" especially for law enforcement police cruiser unlike they were before normal cars just made all police styles, this is out of the factory futuristic.
