Hey i have been searching for an answer for hours about this subject - short ram, or cold air? apparently, short ram will not get you as much power as cold air.. why is that? wouldnt that be proven wrong with a setup like this where the air coming in is cold anyways? and then wouldnt this setup take away the "hydrolock" problem of cold air intakes? and also, would this setup you have also take away the "heat soak" problem for short ram? Do you like this setup and hows the mpg / power increase?
I had the same exact question and problems as you do. That is why I designed this system. People will argue for hours on this subject but on a normal set-up, without all my mods, a cold air intake will give you more power because it is "Cold Air". Mine is designed to counter-dick these problems and act like a cold air intake without actually being one. I have so many mods idk about the power increase. Along with those mods I drive it pretty hard so idk about mpg either I get 27 in town
What did you use for the heatshield and where'd u pick up the supplies? The 20 degree temp difference is worth it all alone
Thanks bro

It is a flat sheet of heat ducking that I picked up from a local hardware store for $5. Then I just bent it up.
Thanks!
