  • Wow Wtf... Make Them Choose Who Should Die Of The Two And Then Shoot Yourself.. What A Prick. But This Is A Very Good Movie, Really Sad Though.

  • well thats sick story .

  • Evan Rachel Wood has that 1920s look. Maybe if she studied a little more acting in England, she'd be alright.

  • the brain has more cells than our galaxy has stars. it's amazing how the brain works in this kind of situations.

  • Well, fuck. That's a depressing movie. Don't get me wrong, it is a great movie but, fuck, what a beautifully heart-wrenching end.

  • it was an excellent movie...I loved it, but it was sad

  • did diana die? what happened to emma? im confused.

  • @jeenashirkey04 Diana died. The scene at 5:52 proves it. Emma was a child she aborted. Her adult life happened only in her imagination.

  • thanks for uploading!! interesting twist

  • It's brilliant the ending was great, I never wanted her to die but Evan Rachel dies in a lot of her movies lol but she can pick a good script man I've never seen her in a bad film. It's just great that she knew Maureen would b able to recover if she died bc of how she talked about the flowers after the rain. But Diana would never b able to which shows that some people can move on from grief and be happy whereas others can never have closure with death.

  • "When one dies, it is a tragedy. When a million die, it is a statistic."-Joseph Stalin

  • Also, 'Emma' is not the child Diana aborted. 'Emma' is the child Diana ideally wanted when she was older. Her family life with her partner and daughter looked seemingly great but you can see that she suffers daily with what happened and fears her husband is having an affair and her daughter hates her. She knew in that moment that Maureen deserved to live as she had been a great friend to her and had not made so many 'mistakes' It took me a while to understand but I think this is kind of right.

  • @LovelyJessica24 I read something simular and honestly the only thing i could fully grasp is that people accept the ending as Diana deserving Death because she was a Little Insecure and a wild child. she wasn't in a cardboard Box like Maureen. I'd rather both girls survive, but i don't think it's right to say That Diana deserved to die and maureen deserved to live, or vice versa Both girls deserved to live sorry it's 3am and I'm alittle fragile

  • @Boicovich I hope you're ok? No I completely agree. Neither of them deserved to die. Diana had the potential to have had a very exciting and fulfilling life. I agree, both girls should have survived. I just wrote what I had researched and gathered from different forums and IMDb. It doesn't reflect my opinion - I agree with you! (: I hope you're ok? I'm sorry you are feeling a little fragile. x

  • @LovelyJessica24 thanks for explaining! i was sitting here, staring at the wall, like a big questionmark at the end, haha.

  • @TheMarleney Hehe, I know it's quite complicated isn't it? I definitely had to do my research because I didn't get it either! I hope you're well, lots of love. x

  • I did my research and for anyone confused I think it's this. Basically every scene with Uma Thurman in (Adult Diana) is not 'real.' It's a fragment of Young Diana's imagination. As the title suggests "The Life before her Eyes," all those scenes with Uma flash before Young Diana's eyes and that's when she realises that Maureen deserves to live. If Diana survived then she knew she would be miserable and be everything she never wanted to be and suffer from the trauma of Maureen's death.

  • @LovelyJessica24 thanks for explaining, makes sense now ive read this :)

  • @catspear I'm so glad. I hope it's kind if right :/ Such a complicated movie isn't it? Thank god for IMDb ;) x

  • wait.. im kinda confused but did dhe ever find emma when she was in the rain forest running around?

  • Is it wrong that I skipped all the way to the end to watch her get shot?

  • I knew something like that was going to happen

  • I didn't get it !!! Who died and who survived?!!

  • So confusing but still really sad

  • i freaking cried

  • I CRIED SO HARD!!!!!!!!!

  • Remember that old TV The Twilight Zone? Well, they had this episode where a man was about to be hung, but when they hung him the rope snapped, and swam down the river, and ran through the woods to this town. He ran up to the woman he loved but before he could embrace her... They hung him.

It's the same thing here, her life didn't flash before her eyes, her future did.

  • @zperra That was an adaption of the short story, "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" by Ambrose Bierce.

  • @zperra thx it makes much more sense now

  • Diana's dead for all of you that are confused he future life was all imaginary she was thinking about what her life would be like in the future and if she could live with letting her friend die and apparently she couldn't

  • or it's her friend imagined that?

  • i dont understand...was Diana dead? and before she died she imagined all her life afterwards? = =

  • I never seen a movie so powerful. It kind of reminds me of a story about a guy imagining his escape from soldiers but really he was hanged at the end of the bridge. Throughout his time from the bridge to his death he imagined his escape and his family. Just thought I should share.

  • movies weird....

  • Idk why but after watching this I got scared but I am still confused 

  • I'm not sure but I think all of her older life is what she's imagining before she gets shot. Like when life "flashes before your eyes" when your near death. She's imagining her elder life.

  • This is the last vid of the movie?

  • @anddihier This kinda confuses me the part when Diana got older was that all fake?

  • @oxMelxo no they wouldn't have they were going to class which the entire class was killed

  • I just watched an amazing movie , I love it when movies really make you think ...Learn something new and be hopeful again.

  • whats up with the dude? he gona loco?

  • @summer7chic It's based on the Columbian School Shooting. This guy was bullied and abused by people at his school and his father so he got fed up with it and unleashed hell on the school out of rage. He killed over 20 people, 30 injured. After he was done, he shot himself in the head. Yes this is based on a true story but what happened in the movie I assure you wasn't completely true, no one knows what he said to those people before he killed them.

  • It's weird how a single decision makes your life. If that girls didn't have to go to the bathroom, they both would've left and still be alive.

  • So clueless?????:((

  • @coyote7272

"I think that Diana chose to die because she knew how much better her friend's life was, how much more she deserved to live, that's why she was in her flashbacks @ 3:13 and 4:40 and she knew Micheal wanted her dead instead, that's why he warned her and not Maureen."

I think this is an accurate description of what the movie wanted us to think. But, I cannot believe that any person is more worthy of life than another, who am I to say?

  • What an underrated movie. I thought it was AMAZING.

  • i felt a bit teary at d end :((

  • one of the most underrated movies i have ever seen..beautifully presented and so well acted..evan rachel wood should act more often, she is so damn good!!! diana-maureen friendship is so well written/directed/performed without making it seem forceful or fake..superb!

  • @coyote7272 thanks for uploading this. I think one can never make a judgement that one person deserves to live more than another. Diana wanted to be loved and she struggled with the choices she made. As a boy she would have gotten away with her behavior. She expressed her gratitude to her friend in many ways. Maureen just had more guidance. All life is precious

  • Can you remind of the movie if you know something about black girl name Shannon or something and she was locked in prison because they thought she killed another white girl name Jenny.

  • Again i wouldve jumped his ass n beat the shit outa him when he reloaded his gun

  • Only law enforcement are allowed to own the gun he uses, so how the hell did he get it? What were the police doing when all this happens? Just waiting outside?

  • @psycobillysutter ,There´s a documentaries about it on youtube.

  • Killer: Do you believe in God

    Me: OF COURSE!

    *shoots me*

    *at heavens gates*

Me: YO WHAT UP JESUS!!! <3

  • @CheyenneBlah Haha, I would be the SAME way! No way am I gonna deny that before I die. :)

    <3

  • I've never heard of this film before. I shouldn't have watched it. Too sad for my strongest muscle...

  • I've never heard of this movie. I shouldn't have watched it. Too sad for my strongest muscle.

So what DO you say when they ask which one of you should die?

  • omg this movie made me think of alot of things like i got sad wen i saw diana die

  • Does micheal die I mean does he kill himself?

  • I don't get it still

  • omg...i just burst into tears!!! this really makes me want to spend every single day living more and spending the most time that i can with my friends and family and just do everything i want with no regrets because i can die any day....and i really, REALLY am gonna start apreciating (sorry..dont have a very good englisch) my 2 best friends way more...

  • I cried sooo much at this scene! such a good movie <3

  • i'm currently depressed. it's weird though, i feel like i've seen this movie before. maybe i have. (ooooh twilight zoneee)

  • Not sure why people are confused by the ending. It's perfectly clear what happened. Regardless, this was a good movie. I like the way the story unfolded, especially the flashpoint point of view. Thank you for uploading this. Please upload the film credits; some viewers - like myself - think reading the credits is part of the movie watching experience. TY.

  • Wait so the brown haired chick who survived is the older blonde lady?

  • @LegitOps nope is was the blonde girl. the movie was how she sort of imagined her future to be. i know its confusing :S

  • Why in the fuck didnt Maureen and Diana jump him when he reloaded at 2:03

  • @DEREKJENNINGSBASS They were scared out of their minds, and it only takes a few seconds to reload a gun like that. Its much simpler than hand gun where you have to put the bullets in one by one.

  • @DEREKJENNINGSBASS exactly what i was thinking!!!

  • @DEREKJENNINGSBASS that is exactly how i feel about that why didnt they jump on him

  • i really don't understand why this film got such a bad response. I thought it was SO good.I LOVE twists like this. Also Evan Rachel wood is stunning!

  • @GraceEleganceDestiny Personally I think this got such a bad response simply because its all to realistic; people don't want to think about things like this and maybe also that this is just another reason why people should have the means and the rights to protect themselves.

  • That was a freaky movie.

  • the part that tipped me off: it all seems contemporary both when she's young and older

also the husband looks the same age when she's younger and older...

  • my heart was beating so hard and it still is

  • there is Diana, and that older blond-haired woman. are they the same person or something?

  • @xnikkix15 Yes. Diana Is Imagining Her Life When She Get Older... Which That Older Blonde-Haired Women Plays So They're The Same Person

  • Comment removed

  • Ugghhh I hate the shooter so much looking at him makes me hate him even though his not real.

  • If they were going to deviate from the book like this, I wish they would have shown Maureen grown up and putting flowers in that bathroom during the anniversary memorial.

  • OMG such an amazing movie!!!!!!! Its so sad but it probably wouldnt have been good if she hadnt died!

  • Such a good movie.

i wish they just took out michael instead of let him shoot her..

  • Thanks for the upload it was a really good movie.

  • @Everlastingev so she actually doesnt die in the book?

  • I hate the fact that they changed the ending from the novel. I know it was in some desperate attempt to redeem Diana by having her save Maureen, but that wasn't the point of the novel. The point was choosing life. Diana chose to save herself (in the book) and in turn was murdered. Here she's selfless, which takes away from Laura Kasischeke's amazing writing and invalidates adult Diana's perfect life. :(

  • @Riss313 so she doesnt actually die in the book?

  • @thejamnsar Yes, she does. It's the fact that her death here was of her own choice in the movie, that irks me. In the book she tells Michael to kill Maureen, not her, which Michael ends up doing the opposite. He kills Diana and Maureen lives.

The endings are relatively the same, but the meaning has been changed.

  • @Riss313 I haven't read the book so I can't really say but...maybe in the book Diane uses what we can reverse psychology? Maybe she knew that by choosing Maureen the killer would shoot her?

  • Cops just sit the hell outside? You go in their and kill the suspect!

Or you let us carry on school grounds.

  • @DJ118USMC that a stupid idea... if you are allowed to carry guns to school then so does the shooter which makes it easier for them to kill people.

what you need is better gun control. you know, make sure anyone who carries a gun has a license for it and parents with guns need to find a way to keep it away from their kids, stuff like that.

  • kill yourself asshole

  • wtf !?!?! i dont get this ... she dies???? so shes dead?? wtf ...

but all in all great movie and it made me wanna cry and some scary bits .. just the ending killed it

  • wtf !?!?! i dont get this ... she dies???? so shes dead?? wtf ...

but all in all great movie and it made me wanna cry and some scary bits .. juse the ending killed it

  • the killer is like the white evil pimp!

  • @aendb can you put the evil pimp song named "glock in your face" in the video?

  • thanks 4 uploading. its a sad but very good movie.......

  • "The Heart Is The Body's Strongest Muscle." My life's quote. :)

  • @XxLiveToSingxX i like that quote, but, i think my heart needs to toughen up some...

  • no need to answer the question, all lives are equally important

a killer can decide for himself

  • Just watch your friend die, don't help her once she falls or anything... ya know...

  • Thanks for posting!

  • I'm sooo depressed right now....huhuhu but it's really a good movie...I mean, wonderful movie... I just don't understand why it has so many negative reviews... well all I could say is...its so great I didn't miss to watch this.

  • this movie is so sad ): specially the end.

  • i woulda took the kids gun and knocked him out when he was reloding

  • @jakemakerable Takes but 3 seconds to reload, your brain won't react that fast, especially under fear and stress.

  • I think part of michael wanted to be stopped. Why else would he tell someone? He wanted someone to listen to what was happening and stop it, but Diana didn't tell anyone and so he was able to go through with it. It was like his mind said, if someone stops me I won't, but if they don't listen it's what they deserve and it's kind of like he wanted to kill diane too, I mean why else hesitate on maureen?

  • @xNightxwolfx2 is there a scene where he says it, where he tells diana that he will shoot people or something?. diana mentioned it on part 1 of the movie. if so do you know what part it's on.

  • @rose6007 No it doesn't show him actually telling her. The previous comment was my opinion.

  • this scene is soo GOOOD !!!...

  • I like this one cause it's different,although weird!

  • ASKI memnu ile ne alakasi var a.q hemen calinti..

  • Honestly I thought it was a strange movie. I understand that is supposed to be about Diana's life had she lived but what is the concept? I mean you could have taken anyone of the characters that had died in the shooting and played out how their lives might have been. I just really didn't get the signifigance that the movie is trying to make.

  • @genuinegal2009 It's showing a perspective. It's also about their friendship.

  • @genuinegal2009 Maybe the angle of the movie is to encourage viewers to reflect on their lives and examine how the choices they make everyday will affect their futures.

I mean, after looking back at her past and foreshadowing her future, Diana told Michael to shoot her. She obviously felt that the choices she had made wouldn't lead her to a good future. Maybe she thought it was wise to spare Maureen's life since she had a brighter future and could lead a more fufilling life.

  • @ LittleMadPyro I agree with u

  • Is there a part 10?

  • I keep watching this part over and over again..

  • Ahww. This movie made me cry. It's sad how he only kills one and leaves the other with tears :(

    Love this movie

  • omg I cried at the end -.-

  • Good movie! Thanks for posting it!

  • Wow this movie is really amazing!! I don´t see the point of repeating that last scene but i don´t care, the movie was great! thanks for uploading it! :D

  • I agree with trickme10 ur right

  • Omg littlemadpyro he was bullied do u kno what that can do to someone.

  • amazing movie thnax for upload

  • Great movie, I have the DVD myself. One thing though: at about 2:10 why didn't they just jump his ass when he was reloading?

  • i couldn't stop crying when i saw this... i still can't. really shocking ending and always thought "what if something like this happens in my school?" i hate the idea of people getting so sad and angry that they can't find another way out ..

  • oh my god

she dead but i dont uderstand

the first you think the girl with black hair dead.

this movie is difficult for saw

  • I sympathize for all of the people involved - including the shooters.

  • OMG when is it coming out in AUSTRALIA!!!

  • great movie! I think i cryed a river, but i am a bit confused. i dont think i got the story...

  • I'm seriously about to cry. The whole time,I was thinking Maureen was going to die,not Diana. This is an awesome movie, but its incredibly sad. The acting is amazing, especially Evan Rachel Wood and Uma Thurman's performances.

  • Diana dies. Thats why its called the life before her eyes...the entire movie is what she thinks or how she wanted her life to play out and references from her present life were weaved in and out to help provoke the idea that the Uma thurman parts of the movie are her imagination...the book was much different than the movie but by reading that youll better understand.

  • @xhcox07x Thanks hun.. NOW ,..I fully, understand the movie.. {{hugs}}

  • wtf!! she died :O :O big shocker i thought maureen would of died!

is that the end of that movie??

  • ive been puting of watching this film for months as i know how it ended. but since curiosity got the better fo me i decided to watch it and i couldnt stop crying when she got shot. if i was maureen i wouldve tried reviing her after she gto shot and called the plplice ect in.

  • very good movie but i only noticed there was one flaw: on the radio it said it was the 15th memorial of the shooting. therefore her daughter should be 15 right? other than that, very thought provoking.

  • I hate people like that guy with the gun, I think they are cowards. Why don't they just shoot themselves and rest in peace, instead of blaming others for their pain.

  • @LittleMadPyro Psychologists say that people like him suffer from battered person syndrome, caused by severe bullying. They go under traumatic stress syndrome and make irrational descisions like shooting up a school. The shooters are in a dissociative state at the time. To say they should kill themselves because of bullying says a lot about the american high school system. They need help, not suicide.

  • omg :OO I really didn't expected that I mean she died, and the live we saw was just the live she ever wanted to have and emma is the daughter she aborted ?! or?

    :O

  • @Leonie123xD the time line doesn't add up. i mean emma is like what? 7?! and the memorial was 15th annual, so if emma was the aborted child she should be a teenager not a little girl...

  • @mynzadik ahhh its obvious isnt it . if its the life she was imagining then obvious the aborted child isnt emma how dumb can u people get she was imagining havin a daughter and nameing her emma like her n maureen talked about gosh go get some brains or atlease some commen sence

  • @pinkypinkstar31 i know emma isn't the aborted child - that what is means "the time-line doesn't add up". maybe youre the one that is brainless. or maybe you just need to learn how to read!

you can place a comment without being rude about it you know

  • WHAT??!!!!! omg it totally caught me by surprise....i just wish they had shown what happened to maureen after.Does anyone any other good movie?

  • the uninvited. it's got an unexpected twist at the end.

  • Only when I read lvkingdomhearts's message I understood the movie. I found it all so unlogical.

Wonder what happened to Maureen though...

  • i dont get it!

  • I was alwasy expecting maurine to die.... I think in Diana's place I would have made the same decision, I culdn't live with myself for letting one of my best friends die, I would rather be killed myself than go through the pain. I know its kinda selfish but....

this is a really good movie :) i like movies like this ones that make you think.

  • no its not amanda^^

  • I think Amanda from earlier on in the film is the girl that was running out of the school at 1:20, but I'm not sure.

This movie made me cry the first time i watched it. Brilliant

  • I cry everytime i watch this movie.

  • Wow! I've seen this movie like 5 times.... and it still gets me! Its a great movie!! I love love LOVE Evan Rachel Wood, Eva Amurri and Uma Thurman!! This is such a great movie! But everytime I drop off my little girl at school who is only in second grade, I fear that something like this is going to happen to her! It is sad that this is the type of world we live in!

  • This movie has some of the best lines.

Diana: Em, I really don't won't to grow up to be one of those hard women who are angry about everything all the time.

Maureen: I know. With a heart like yours, I don't think you're in any danger.

  • Woman standing at entrance of school: Are you one of the survivors?

    Diana [clutching flowers]: No.

  • good movie

i know the ending All that weve seen earlier in the movie is what Diana had dreamed her adult life would be like. Emma is the girl she never had, the girl that she aborted.

  • Earlier in the movie when she takes her little girl too school, who's the friend she's meeting just outside? I thought that was her friend from HER school and they both survived it.. and what happened when SHE was in school were flashbacks.. until I saw him kill her. I read a discription of the movie.. and it explained kinda lke that. Anyway, I guess that disc was wrong. Can't really say what this movie makes me feel... I just kept thinking, what was the shooter thinking, what was wrong.

  • the woman she meets outside was just another girl from school that she talks to, grown up, not her best friend. There was a brief flashback that explained that. This is rather melodramatic, but It certainly addresses an important issue.

  • She can see what her life would be like if she was the one who survived, hence the title "The Life Before Her Eyes" so her life is literally flashing before her eyes before he shoots her. And she decides that her best friend's life is more important then her own, so she sacrifices herself. Truly touching story.

  • it is soo sad when he shoots the sinks and after everyone is quiet and still but you can only hear the mothers cries for her daughter...i was crying so bad watching this movie.... when he finally shoots her is sooo hard to watch... amazing movie!

  • i cant believe i bawled

  • i already knew the story but i couldnt hold my tears at the end :'(

    thnx for the movie

  • its like how she see's her life ahead of time, and how shes sees everything playing out. and in a way lifes it. its nuts.

  • i can't even hold back my tears :(

  • Thank you for putting this movie up. It is so emotional and it makes you stop and think. It made me realize that we have to take every second and live it. We can't waste our time because there's not enough of it. Thanks =D I enjoyed watching this film 5/5
