Are we taking into account which games have better mods? Because after playing Arma 2 with some really well made mods, I find vanilla Arma 2 to be absolute crap. I only had OFP2 on console and that was a huge waste, it was crap. What was it? 8 signle player mission and one of the worst multiplayers I ever encountered. Lets not forget that Arma 2 is basically VBS 2 which was simulation software created in conjunction with the USMC and the ADF.

That being said, if by "better gameplay" you mean more arcade like and less simulation oriented, you're going to prefer OFP2.

Amazes me how people don't understand the differences: in the ORIGINAL Operation Flashpoint, designed bt Bohemia Interactive Studio, you can move your head independently from the body, I don't recall many other games having this option; it continued with ArmA and ArmA II.

Codemaster's OPFDR is simply a First Person Shooter that doesn't have this option, just like the majority of FPS in the market. BIS makes SIMULATORS, while Codemasters has shamelessly ripped off the name and designed a GAME!

They need to make it as though there are a few places in between the plates inside the body armour where there is a chance for the bullet to pass clean through and get into contact with the enemy's body. About the ballistic plates though, they're hard cookies to break through pal.

very true. and ceramic body armor insert plates that our military wears is good for 1 to 2 rounds. not to mention the plates or smaller than a sheet of paper....most rounds dont even hit the plates. and the 5.56 isnt that bad of a round actually. good ballistics. of course theres better rounds out there but its not bad, and when some1 is shooting at you and you get hit in the plate. your adrenalina is going so fast you literally would fall over and hop back up

1. True, in a firefight your not always standing up completely. So the bullet as less leverage and is even less likely to know you over. You know that its better to aim for the center of the mass whitch is lower than the shoulder
