Wow! Amazing stuff! Was this from the BBC4 documentary? If it is I'm looking for a clip where the same fishermen were singing as they went out to sea. It's an incredible song!
Just found out they are repeating the programme on BBC4 tomorrow at 19:00pm (Christmas Eve). :)
I am not a sea fisherman ,I live in front of the Italian Alps but I like very much this song and the way you sing it. Really brilliant, Where can I find the score for ttbb and satb choir?Ciao
absolutely love this group! i do my bofriends head in when we go fishing cause of all the little songs i sing now i have more ammunition, lol he loves it really, last time his mates were singin too! lol.

Parcel of Rogues of North Devon (Berrynarbor) have been playing some of the same sea shanties for many years in our area with more gusto, better rhythm, and fantastic instumental support
I've just read of them at the BBC website so came to youtube to check 'em out. Hopefully someday they'll come to the USA to perform. Best of luck to the guys :)
Awesome,Awesome, music. My dad is from Cornwall so i cannot wait to show him these videos. Best of luck to all of you and make sure you put Canada on your your.
Hey folks. Just in case ya don't know. Type in "No Hopers Jokers and Rogues" in the search bar. Its their first official music vid and it's damn addictive to listen to. Really wish these lads all the best. About time we heard some real music.
Saw them on the UK national news yesterday ,brilliant ! hope they do really well, I love folk music, such a change from most of the rubbish around at the moment .
Just saw them on the news in Australia and heard of the record deal. When will the album be available. They sound magnificent. Looking forward to the Australian tour.
Luv it, I just read it on my btinternet news page, and thoguht I'd come on here to see of any1 ahd recorded them. Its amazing that they have a record deal with Universal Music :) :)
Great sound gentlemen! You've made front page news on Yahoo. There isn't a lot to see of you singing on Youtube so we'll be waiting for your record and official videos.
Type in "No hopers jokers and rogues" in the search bar. Trust me. That's their first official video and I'm personally in love with it. About time we heard some REAL music for a change eh?
Good work lads. Just watched you on the afternoon news. Congratulations on getting the Record Contract, good to hear local music being played nationally.
last week i went on a sailing trip, it changed me. i love it!!! everything about sailing :) we sang this shanty but i don't know the song can some one tell me what it is it called? please? thanks!!!
Hey I really like this one xD ... Im leader off an shanty-choir in germany. Could s.o. please send me a link to the composition of this song or s.t.. I´d like to try it with my men :-)
Worden 28: Having only visited a few parts of Cornwall, (the mainly commercial parts) I do know what you mean, the place is becoming (or rather was) a magney for the yuppies and their "Urban Tanks" these people dpn't give a flying one about "tradition" or locals, you should venture further south for the Real Cornwall, along the coast past Penzance, before the bastards catch on and ruin that as well!
My parents were from Trevone; while you are there, put in a word for the people who will still be there when you have gone home. Tell the old farts who just want to look at a pretty view till they die, that ordinary people have families and need jobs - they killed my village by blocking planning permission for a place which would have given year round work to all of us - because one of them would have had to look at the car park. (He'e dead now - and so is the village. And half of us have left.)
Couldn't have put it better myself. People think urban areas are terrible places to live whilst not thinking about the problems encountered in rural life. My family can't afford to live in south devon anymore because of second-home owners and refusals for affordable home applications. Holiday programmes don't really help the situation either.

I was born in port isaac, lived there the best part of my life, belive me, it's crap, everyone is out ot get something and don't give a flying fart if you live or die, very selfish. so this lot are just cashing in. the real people suffer for what the greedy idal seekers can afford. cornwall and the real cornish have been sold out. The school in Port Isaac was condemed as it was unsafe for the kids by the local council. it was made into a hotel. that tells you people are worthless without money.
Ive never been to Cornwall, but I always perferred the English countryside, steeped in its culture and history, to London's multicultural induced "placeless" feel.
Cornwall is beautiful and kept deliberately 'poor' so that rich old farts can admire the view without the tedium of having to live in the real world. Thing is, in the end, all the people who currently clean their toilets and serve them in the restaurants will have had to leave, so they can earn a living.
they're apparently 'famous' in a way only a group of Cornish fishermen (though they're not all fishermen) can be. They've played Albert Hall I'm told, so I've no doubt they've done a DVD...
luvs it! be me frend frends! rite on...laters x
