In my opinion RST has responsibility to both cases, but I don't think TREK and BIANCHI don't have any responsibility because they sold bikes with their brand. Again, it's "my" opinion.
I'm sorry to see that you got injured with a Trek Bike. No hard feelings but I have to say that Trek is not responsible for anything other than the frame. If the frame snapped in half while you're riding along under normal conditions, then they will take responsibility. The customer service staff at Trek Bicycle Corporation has had the opportunity to inspect this fork. Its obvious this bicycle has been stored outside for many years. While we are sorry this incident occurred; the route cause of this accident was clearly due to extreme rust from years of neglect and mis-use.
