  • wzruszajaca historia codywrite.

  • @mareckiize jestes pedalem kurwa mac!

  • I remember wanting to play the game "Akira" on the playground. It was fun trying to explain midway that someone was going to become this huge mass of flesh. Oh childhood

  • They should have used this theme in the recent film "Chronicle".

    Thumbs up if you agree.

  • this vid makes you grow up fasyt

  • This is exactly why there needs to be a complete soundtrack that is custom made for films. No music independently made encapsulates the filmmakers vision outside of the context of the film.

  • I fuckin love it!

  • I watched this way back when i was 15.... now i'm 16

  • Boom! Loved the 1st time seeing it, and still.

The music still rocks my soul

  • Its like a disturbed childs nightmare come to life. Very chilling.

  • ANDREEEWWWWW!!!!

  • LSD

  • D'at Nigga Tetsuo!

  • 4:00 DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA DAAAAA DAAAAAAAAAAAAAA DAAA DAA DA

  • How does this only have 37k views? are most of them my own?

  • Very similar to Balinese music....

  • One of my fave OSTs ever for the best Manga film ever..

  • This song pretty much summarizes the whole film. Tetsuo starts out insecure and innocent, but then evolves into a tormented, power crazed monster bent on destroying everything in his path. But as Akira reveals himself, everything is devoured, including Tetsuo. As he realizes what he's done to himself, he cries out for Kaneda to help him. Kaneda, being the badass best friend anyone could ask for, dives after Tetsuo, also taken into the blast. But he survives, ready to start anew.

  • @TheBeefyWizard35 Nice job there with basically restating the top comment on the video in order to try and sound intelligent.

  • @Daimanius I'm more intelligent than you think. You're a troll just for assuming I was copying them. I just wanted to put in my own opinion. Have fun trolling bro.

  • @TheBeefyWizard35 U mad?

  • @TheBeefyWizard35 You cut chunks out of their remark and place them directly into your own. You might be able to use proper punctuation and grammar but this hardly qualifies you as intelligent. It's also childish to dismiss anyone voicing a lucid yet contrary point as a troll. Own your misdoings and this will stop happening.

  • 4:04 this music plays when u know that u or someone else is about to get F'd real bad

  • 150 people know good music when they hear it that one person is probaly some dick that has no respect for genius.

  • its BALI instrument right?hemmmmmm..great job!!

  • *Waiting for Live Action Akira*

*Waiting for Akira to become an "Anthology" series*

*Waiting for 2012 when Tetsuo takes over the world*

  • Akira was the best movie ever made there is no movie better i sweear to god there is no movie this shit was hand drawn.

  • thumbs up if u think 4:21 was badass.

  • 4:04 don't know how it happened but this started playing every time i enter a room

  • The twinkles are playing to show the growth of his power and the duuuuun part of the song is his power at his max and doesn't give a damn no longer, well KANEDA?!?! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO NOOOOOOOOOOW!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • Inception totally ripped this, their idea was also taken from paprika. They should have given some credit to the anime lol When I listen to this song even though I know those parts are most likely done by a trangle I can't help but imagine a bunch of people hitting glasses filled with water lol.

  • TETSUO SLOWLY RISES OUT THE FIRE 4:04 DAH DAH...... DAH DAH.... DAH.... DAH.... DAH

  • @GMShuntingseason gave me goosebumps when i first saw this movie

  • @meapickle I saw it back in the 90s in when I was like 12 when they selling the movie on infommercials. I really didn't understand it but love it. now that I'm 25 I read the manga a few years ago and I just again watch the movie when I downloaded it about a 2 weeks ago, I understand and love it, straight chill. It would be badass if they Remade the movie in HD exactly like the manga, you know how many ppl would kill to c this in theater? Trust me, If I had the money plus n consent I make it.

  • @GMShuntingseason

i have it on dvd and with 1.5 surround sound, it sounds awesome

also from what i heard, since the 90's there has been talk about a live action akira movie and i heard it has finally been green lit

this has made fans either rejoice or rage their ass off (and it's actually understandable too)

  • @meapickle I know it sounds badass!!! Call me crazy but I believe that they not only make anime like this just for entertainment but there is also reality and truth behind it. I would be surprise that the govt. have pills that tap into your psyche like that. Ex: Limitless. The govt. has so much classified shit it's a damn shame. They also say that all the stuff they have classified they don't release to the public one at a time till 16yrs after they classified and play with it. that's crazy.

  • Funfact: the soundtrack was composed before the movie even had a script. It's just that crazy how it all perfectly fits.

  • Press 4 to DUUUUUUUUNNN

  • When those vocals kick in... @_@ Just wanna pick up a katana and fight someone to the death.... And win.

  • BEST ANIMATED FILM EVER

  • @TETTSUUO

no no no, best FILM ever

  • @meapickle THAT'S VERY ENTHUSIASTIC OF YOU...BUT THIS IS NOT THE BEST FILM EVER....BUT LIKE I SAID BEST ANIMATED FILM EVER....YEAH,NO DOUBT

  • @TETTSUUO I liked Apple Seed also. But Akira has a special place in my heart...

  • @TETTSUUO Might I direct you to Satoshi Kon, good sir?

  • @DrCowboyFace Choosing between these two? ...you monster

  • Parts of this sound like Thai or Cambodian...good stuff!

  • @pheenix42 it is Gamelan Bali. Indonesian music ensemble.

  • @akonglukalikebon Hey, thanks for the information! =D

  • A KIRÁLY

  • 4:03 thumbs up if tetsuo walking out of fire with this playing gave you goosebumps

  • This is the mother of the inception soundtrack.

  • I'll wear my red, torn cape and walk down a ruined city street with a fire behind me listening to this.

  • Comment removed

  • The bit at 4:03- My alarm clock. I haven't overslept yet.

  • fuck, this was a cool movie!

  • @dcorps understatement of the millennium

  • It's like if Vegeta from DBZ was not a powerful humanoid alien from space, but a common human born on Earth.

  • 4:04 when tetsuo is waking out of the fire and this plays it feels godly

  • i like the movie and thank you... really thank u for uploading this amazing song....everytime i hear this song i want to see the movie and it makes me, not the movie but the song, thought-provoking... i love this song... it is more then just a movie soundtrack...

  • the release of a broken mind! broken by humanity! " i AM tetsuo!"

The best movie of all times!

  • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA DAAAAAAA DA DA

  • This song perfectly captures the idea of transformation. The childish, twinkling melody slowly descends into a more rapid, tribal beat and as the famous chanting kicks in, we realise that Tetsuo has utterly transformed from an insecure child into a power-crazed monster. This song both captures the lost innocence of his youth and encompasses all the grandiose delusions he had about himself. Basically, this song is about Tetsuo becoming the unhinged monster who destroys the world.

    Genius.

  • @louthegiantcookie

Tetsuo was never a monster, he was misunderstood and underestimated.

  • @deadsg1 Really? So you just chose to ignore those little 'rape parties' he had? Or the way he gleefully betrayed his friends? Or perhaps the countless hundreds he massacred without a thought?

  • @louthegiantcookie He was a child with an inferiority complex who was suddenly given godlike powers. It's only natural he'd want to do that.

  • @EndreVanan Even a child can be loyal to his friends. Tetsuo killed them the first chance he got. And even a typical hormonal teenager probably doesn't enjoy killing his sexual partners post coitus, which Tetsuo certainly did. I honestly wonder if he was ever a good person at all.

  • @louthegiantcookie your words are like beams of light, shining down from the heavens! Why do more people not comment with such literacy and composition more often?! I must also add, that as bilashkani (poster of this file) has a spectacular point, in saying that this track plays just before someone gets torn a new a*****e.

  • @louthegiantcookie

Very cool ideas! Well then could you articulate what Kaneda's theme means to his character?

  • This is one of the greatest things that has ever graced my music-loving ears.

  • If I ever get telekinetic powers, I want this music playing as I take over the world.

  • @24komodo

but then your going to turn into a mutant blob, crush your girlfriend and then join god/akira in a whole new plane of existence as you prepare yourselves in creation of the next universe

  • @meapickle I can live with that.

  • @24komodo

as long as we have that cleared i guess it's alright

  • give me goosebumps

  • This song makes me wanna cause some epic scenes of devastation.

  • My cousin lent me his Akira DVD the other day where I saw the movie for the first time

And it was hard to take seriously becasue of the rediculous soundtrack xDDD

  • Where would i find the music that plays in the movie in the hospital scene when the kids show up and mess with tetsuo?

  • @emina7675 The piece you're looking for is called Doll's Polyphony.

  • 4:04 chillsssssssssssss

  • I wish i can go all Tetsuo on the one who disliked this .....

  • Great trippy music. Where can I find more?

  • 20 years since I first heard saw the movie and heard this music. It still haunts my dreams. Think of that note when the teddy bear starts to bleed during the hallucination. DAAAAHHHN!!!!!!!!!!

  • i just got an EARGASM.

  • thums up if you read the comic befor you seen the movie

  • DUUUUN!! DUUUUN!! DUN-DUN!!!! God Akira is AWESOME! One, if not my favorate anime movies and manga. Tetsuo is almost compleatly unknown by the greater anime/manga comunity :( Maybe its because people only know him from the movie and not from the ORIGINAL 6 book manga. There he has so much character development and and interesting personality!!

I mean i would say he was the original Vegeta!; only human, and with GODLIKE Psychic powers, telepathy, mind rape abilities, and many more >:)))))

  • @VoidOmega111 Loud and wrong

  • @InfinityWard312 Umm, can you clarify what you mean? (unless you are refering to Tetsuo, in which case; no offence, but; you are the one thats wrong -_-, either that or you never actualy read the original Manga ~_~)

  • @VoidOmega111 You made it seem like Akira was the first of it's kind in other words. Fail -__- just kidding but Vegeta seriously?

  • @InfinityWard312 Actually Akira was one of the anime's that helped introduce Anime in general to the west...so yes, It was important in some was (true, it may not be the first for its kind ^_^)

On Vegeta; yes, i said him because have simularitues. E.G: they are both anti-social, they both have problems accepting that there rival is better than them (this is slightly different however, since while Vegeta's motivation is to become more powerful than Goku; Tetsuo had an inferiority complex).

  • @VoidOmega111 Although I like the manga better, I gotta say he had more emotion/personality in the movie. I don't feel like we got much out of his personality in the manga before he gained his powers, even after he just came off as rude, impatient, kinda cocky. I also didn't even know about that inferiority complex thing until I saw the movie. I do like the manga better because there's so much going on it, always wondering what's going to happen next even if you already know lol

  • @MisterBankz Thx for the responce! Haha. I understand :) Well, In my experiance it was easy to find out about Tetsuo's personality more since I watched the Anime movie and THEN the manga.I agree that the movie did personify Tetsuo better than the manga, BUT; as you said, the manga has many different twists and turns in it that make it very enjoyable! ^_^

  • I am so thoroughly pleased that this hasn't been removed through copyright infringement. Perhaps FOR ONCE these companies realise that there are people who own copies of this movie, and just LOVE the fact that they can refer to this!!!

  • What is that? A marimba? Distorted celesta? Tubular bells in a low high key?

  • TET-SUOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

  • you dont like what your hearing do ya..makes you angry??

so what are you gonna do now?!?

    WELL KANEDA!?!?

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO NOOOOOOWWWWW?!?!?!?

  • The animation and music of this film is mind blowing.

  • Reminds me of Secret Of Mana - Tantalus Theme… both so fuckin scary… 33

  • I love this film and I love this soundtrack!

The part at 04:04 - HOLY SHIT.

Question, is there a version of this that has more of that mad vocals in it? 'Cause it's completely badass.

  • @binarynightmare

Geinoh Yamashirogumi put out another version of this soundtrack album, but I think it had less vocals.

  • @bilashkani

Thanks, man! Is it on YouTube or for sale anywhere, do you know?

  • @binarynightmare

The instrumental version of the album is called Akira Symphonic Suite. You can buy it on Amazon. I saw it in a store in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles once.

  • @bilashkani

Ah, thank you. I'll have to have a look for that!

  • @binarynightmare that part gives me chills

  • @MASR4

I love that part. It musically defines the saying 'fffffuuuuuuuu-' because then you get killed by Tetsuo.

  • hah, got this soundtrack on my walkman. really excellent.

  • 4:05

  • Beautiful song! Thank you for uploading this.

  • 「7番街道は直ぐそこだ、100メートル先で交差してるぞ」

    「戦闘準備!!」

    「何!攻撃?しかしありゃ・・・あの少年を攻撃するのか!?」

  • this is mesmerizing

  • Evil, with a sense of child's like play. (I'm referring to the twinkle sounds during throughout this song). It almost reminds me of Dead Space's ambient music. But anyways, if they had remastered the AKIRA soundtrack on CD today or on bluray, it would be nice. =)

  • BTW- I always loved how the Geinoh Yamashirogumi implemented vocal sounds as musical notes.

Such as the "piron" in the creepy scene where the dolls come to life in the hospital. The sound is mimicking the pluck of a stringed instrument. Though doing these sounds vocally provides an interesting sound.

  • Lmao

  • DUUUUNN!!! DUUUUUUUNNN!!!!!

  • LOL. classic

  • @will1835 haha, thanks

  • @tinkxoxo13 ....lol

  • @tinkxoxo13
