Esta no es de las sesiones de Rick Rubin, sino de la sesion de Eno y Lanois. De hecho esta version fue grabada despues de la del disco y no esta producida por Eno, sino por los propios U2. Seguramente la dejaron fuera por la similitud que tiene a nivel ritmico con The Fly, Lady with the spinning head y Ultraviolet.... quizas por esas similitudes me gusta mas que la version final :D

This version is way better than the album. Wish they put this version in the album. NLOTH was a little boring for me. This would have given an otherwise banal album a little extra kick. I think the problem with U2 now is their poor songwriting or poor arrangements. No longer are they the great album makers of the late 80s or 90s.

Okay version. But I prefer the original album release which sounds more heavier harder, raw and overall more polished than this one. The choppy guitar on this one is a pace building effect that can be thrown in somewhere in the original though

Some lines in this version (not the last part, that actually says it) suggest that this version was in a different viewpoint (perhaps the girlfriend, or when they finally get back together)

But this could all be B.S. and he might just be singing on the spot, no lyrics.

its usual for U2 to do a concert video. they did that 3 times with their vertigo tour, from chicago, milan, and honolulu. they did many dvd sets which they never released. very unfortunate because some of them are just amazing. in croke park there was a helicopter circling the area shooting stuff. they did their very best for that gig, plus it was 3 nights in a row at their home town. so I wouldnt be surprised if the dvd pops up real soon!

I think the album version is far, far away the better version. It's more intense sonically and is stirring and evocative. I like this as well, it would've been pretty good for a single. But it's kinda disposable in comparison. I'm glad they stuck with the original, this is like a lite version for me.

To each their own but I disagree. In my opinion this version is ten times better. Would've made for a much better opener on the album. Replace the original with this and then replace Unknown Caller with Mercy and you've go the best U2 album ever.

It's a cool version, I prefer the album version as it builds. The guitar at the start sounds dangerously like you could sing the macarena over the top though lol. but as ever U2 prove they are the best.
