Songbird never meant for audiophile..integrated browser in an audio player?? i can see why they will not put bitperfect features such as WASAPI or ASIO.

it works by looking into the HTML Source code and looking for references to media links. (Mp3, Vorbis, FLAC, AAC, etc.)

I think Songbird is off to a good start - it has rapidly improved since the early betas, and should be awesome within a couple of releases.

One annoying thing though: it doesn't play nicely with compiz. I can't drag the window to another side of the cube, for example.

Songbird does have a now playing list / play queue. now playing list addon is not working with yet.
