Drilling in ANWAR would do absolutely nothing to reduce our energy prices. Drilling off shore would take a minimum of 5 years to get into our supply. And Markey is absolutely right there is nothing to debate when it comes to ANWAR.
Not drilling in ANWR means that we will continue, for years if not decades to come, continue to rely on foreign countries with potentially unstable governments for an increasing portion of our oil supply. Solar, wind, and conservation will not make up the need, and never will.
And the "green" opponents of drilling will continue to block construction of nuclear power plants.
