I member when I was little.. I disliked those sooo much, cause of the force you have going down the slope, I thought I would either hit the hill too high and fall over on my face, or Get the mat caught on the carpet when I finally got down to the end and just flip over from friction hahah.
I love that! The only problem is that I always forget money to get a ticket or two to go on that...not to mention that there are microphones to catch one's scream for those around to hear. :)
I think every park needs of these. They are a kids right of passage. It is simple and alot of fun.

Oh my goodness!!!! I live in Iowa. Go to the State Fair every year b/c I'm in 4H. And LOVE THE SLIDE!!! Your video brings good memories. :)
