The Grand Trunk Road (commonly abbreviated to GT Road) is one of South Asia's oldest and longest major roads. For several centuries, it has linked the eastern and western regions of the Indian subcontinent, running from Bengal, across north India, into Peshawar in Pakistan.
G.T.Road remains a continuum that covers a distance of over 2,500 km. From its origin at Sonargaon in the Narayanganj district of central Bangladesh, it reaches India, passing through Kolkata, Bardhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Amritsar, Varanasi, Allahabad, Kanpur, Agra, Delhi, Kurukshetra and Ambala. Within India, the major portion of the road is known as NH-2, the stretch between Kanpur and Delhi is called NH-91, and that between Delhi and Wagah, at the border with Pakistan, is known as NH-1.
the singer is:Abrar ul Haq. Song is: GT-Road meaning Grand Trunk Road. There are many new and fast roads being built in Pakistan so i am sure there is one going to Quetta.
this is the only highway in pakistan that has no traffice signals people crossing road every where, ON this road there so many patholes, any good luck pakistan
No, i only filmed GTRoad. In the 16th century, a major road running across the Gangetic plain was built afresh by Pashtun emperor Sher Shah Suri, who then ruled much of northern India. His intention was to link together the remote provinces of his vast empire for administrative and military reasons. The Sadak-e-Azam ("great road") as it was then known, is universally recognized as having been the precursor of the Grand Trunk Road.
So good to see how GT Road looks from Pakistani side .Thanx for the video .I am Indian & it has been allways pleasure to drive through Indian side of GT Road
Man I used to live close to this road 6 years ago. I luv your video. I used to live in Mohallah Hayaat-Un-Nabi close to Fawaara Chouk in Gujrat. I had the best time of my life there. Man, I miss my house :(
I loved this road in Pakistan when I went last time.. They have done a very good job in bringing it up to standard... Now you dont get slowed down in all the small towns and cities you go through, its much faster and smoother... Very pleasant drive.
lolz well arey yaar we need to change a lot more then the cars in Pakistan. first lets try to change the corrupt politicians what u think? :) well anyhow thanks for the comment.
well to be honest i know i can edit the video much better if only i had more time. As u can see i filmed everythign from out of the car. Itefaaq se i did see on Prime TV GTRoad clip of ibrar ul haq. now i really love ibrar and his video clips but this GT Road clip of his was rubbish.

Gotta thank the Mughals for building the GT road long before the concept of highways! Some of the scennes appear from the Motorway though?
