I hate to break it to these parents but from what i can tell this wasn't the stanlycup finals and they weren't in game 7. Rather than get mad because their son/daughter is losing they should encurage them to enjoy playing. If those shouting, dumb and uneducated women in the background have the collective intelligence hovering somewhere around that of an amoeba, I'd be mightily surprised. the referees performance was CLEARLY sub standard. This is a growing issue at all levels from yr olds to much more competitive levels such as Quebec Major Junior League in Eastern Canada. If a referee engages in a quarrel they should also be escorted out of the arena and a report filed with the local referees association so that the appropriate disciplinary action may be taken.

Wow before you comment! Did you know what happened before. The guy who attacked the ref was in the stands and his son was hit from behind and knocked out. He ran down to see if his son was okay, he saw that he wasn't he started yelling at ref because no call was made. The ref left the ice which he is not supposed to do then you saw what happened. It was wrong for the parent to hit the ref but his emotions were controling him.
@sgtjohnlennon one, ref isnt really allowed to leave the ice, but he can warn any person on the stadium to calm down and he can decide that the person might be taken out from the stadium. two, i dont thing he was angry on that ref because no call was made, this is linesman, and linesman officials arent supposed to call fauls..

@sgtjohnlennon one, ref isnt really allowed to leave the ice, but he can warn any person on the stadium to calm down and he can decide that the person might be taken out from the stadium. two, i dont thing he was angry on that ref because no call was made, this is linesman, and linesman officials arent supposed to call fauls..

yup im a ref too and i almost kicked a parent out of a mite game, he was flipping out dropping f bombs around 5 year olds for like 2 mins then he left on his own will but i was real close
i asked a supervisor what would of happened if he didnt go, you get the arena guy to do it, and if he doesnt leave the game doesnt continue till he does then finally some parents will do it for you so their kid keeps playing
