  • Spectacular.

  • 3:07 is the point I begin playing the "air organ".

  • The Definitive Perfomance. Anyone have a cigarette?

  • I must buy better headphones!

  • Fabulous...what passion!!!

  • Beautiful music!

  • Bravo sir! i just never get tired of that instrument!

  • Masterful. Makes it seem so easy. Had no idea that St. Patrick's possessed such a fine instrument.

  • Sounds great.

  • that pedal division is incredible ! was the organ on full wack (as in everything pulled out) best regards to the Mr 32' Bombarde !!

  • One of the great pillars of organ repertoire, played flawlessly on a great instrument. Bravo, Stephen!

  • Anyone else notice he's doing it from memory?

  • Prachtig gespeeld !

  • 'Thou art Stephen, and upon this performance , thou art a rock!"

  • That did it for me! Well done. What an organ too!

  • I love this piece. This piece is also like a sermon for church. Or like good vs. the devil. The song is another piece about right and wrong. Mr. Mulet did a grand job of putting this piece together.

  • The sermon at my church last week was this phrase: Tu es Petra or Thou art the rock. (When JESUS was saying "Peter, thou art the rock upon which I will build my church.)

  • Fantastique !

  • Bravo, you are amazing.

  • I've gone through every recording of this that I have, and every recollection of both hearing it played about 5000000 times and attempting it myself, and IMHO this is without a doubt the definitave performance of this piece.

  • At every one of the tangle-up points in this piece, both technical and musical, he just brushes them aside. And the tempo, phrasing and and emotion is sublime. I've never heard a more cohesive and musical performance of this piece.

  • Excellent performance by one of the greatest organists of our time!

  • Absolutely magnificent! yet another flawless performance from Stephen Tharp.

  • WOW! Never heard this at St. Patrick's before! Will this end up on a future recording from there?

  • Haha! Delightful!

  • Best interpretation of this piece I've heard yet!

    Sublime!

  • BTW - You just resolved 3 fingering issues that I've had for 31 years . . and I'm only getting started . .

  • absolutely fantastic ! 5*

  • All I can say is WOW - and he makes it look so easy . .

  • Fantastic!

  • Pedal Bombardes are up in the triforium, and are extremely impressive....

  • To the left of the console on 15 inches of wind. Awe-inspiring!

  • 18" actually, and BIG wooden scale.

  • My mistake. The pipes are on a very large scale, and when they are let loose it's incredible. This instrument has quite a bit of power, such as the Triforium Trumpet on 18" and the Trompette En Chamade on 33", which sits at the top of the case!

  • You can hear the big chamade on Stephen's youtube of his own Easter Fanfares, also taped at St. Patrick's Cathedral.

  • Bravo!

  • Wow, that is one impressive pedal division!

  • Absolutly perfect performance.

  • wonderful! thanks
