I think Apple is the best company in the industry. Android, Windows, and Motorola sometimes offer better soft/hardware features than the iPad/iPhone but the way they go about making their phones and listening to their community is the best.

However I think it's a bit hypocritical to sue companies for having a similar screen. This is because their products have taken ideas from SO many other devices in quite obvious ways. Major ideas. It does give Apple a bad name but they will always be big.

But yes, the newer Android phones like HTC doesn't look like it, but then there's still the interface. I haven't seen more of the Android menus, then the ones in a lot of reviews. And some of it looks like iPhone, and Apple wouldn't sue all those companies if they didn't though they were gonna win.

What's sad is that you're scared of NFC technology because of our American culture and the increase in identity theft. In Japan, years ago (2008 to be exact) I had a cellphone that let me buy things out of vending machines. My subway pass had a chip in it that let me juat tap my entire wallet on the scanner and be on my way. Be cautious of the future, not afraid.

Apple sues Samsung with good and enough reasons. Samsung is, as Apple referred to, a copyist. When iphone became an instant success, there was nothing instant about the designing process. Using your phone as a credit card is much safer than using a credit card itself. Unlike a credit card, your phone can be tracked when stolen. You can also have the option of locking your phone to prevent further purchases and can be unlocked when found from the tracking device. Other security features could be implemented on the phone that couldn't on a simple credit card such as pw protection, face recognition, etc. It just makes much more sense.
