the reason why the refs didnt call the pin is because gilbert kept his left arm under brands' shoulder so he technically wasn't pinned.

Bullshit like always. Brands was pinned, but refs were afraid of Gable and Brands. Regardless of the fact that Brands would of won the National Championship. He was pinned. What a joke our sport is turning into. I have seen our amazing sport go down because of shit like this. Call pins when a wrestler is pinned regardless of who the wrestler is. We'll probably get it right when programs are dead throughout the country

I was at that tournament and watched that match. It was a fall, and everyone around me agreed, no matter who they cheered for. I have yet to meet anyone who saw that match in person who didn't think it was a fall.

I agree. Refs are afraid to call pins on big-name wrestlers sometimes. A state champ in my state was so stuck one time. Double chicken-wing on his back for 1:00, no call. Would have cost his team the match. BS. Of course, when you let him up, they come back to win.
