Even a monkey could understand this when you explain it. I've watched over 200 of your videos ranging from C++, to PHP, Computer basics, to everything else. My number one choice in online learning. Thanks so much for your dedication in teaching the public. Looking forward to future videos.

I spend my whole day just reading and researching trying to catch with the mother $%^&ing class. Thanks A Lot.

  • So,it's a loop or step by step system through a PC...A PC is a loop itself.Hence u just produce more space for a PC through it's connections to things like itself...

  • I find it funny how geeks used to be paid out and deemed anti-social for having IT as a hobby/interest however 20 odd years later the world runs on it and your deemed an anti social if your not in F***ing facebook! >.<

  • Hello, i don't stand something.

I got only one computer connected to the Internet in my house so i haven't got a router and it's just one cable going to the modem.

And wierd enough i get Internet, Telephone and Digital Tv all from the Tv cable.

Some providers do that in The Netherlands.

But my computer says my connection to the modem and Internet is a Lan connection.

But isn't lan only for a building?

    Remi1115

  • @Remi1115 mine says that too, i was thinking that it maybe just named the network in my home as a LAN network because im only connected throughout my house and nowhere else. the network coming into my home though is probably a MAN, it just makes it simpler to give each house a LAN status or something?

  • @thekingdonecome thats why he does the networking and not graphic design

  • Great video - very informative...

  • What about SAN?

  • hahahah thats what she said.

  • @ im2keen4u

    Classic!

  • WLAN is a part of LAN which is wireless it ranges within 10 kms of range.

  • Correction. WLAN range is usually 100ft (33m) and can also be affected by the characteristics of the frequency band it uses. All types of encryption (WEP,WPA,WPA2...) is still unsecure and can be penetrated quite easily.

  • "thats wht she said :-)"

  • what about wlan

  • thanx

  • Am doing a communication network engineering degree right now so thanks 4 the help.

  • OMFG... lol! Im gunna start on teching on paint too! LOL! Im a CCIE. This is decent..

  • haha thats what she said ahah i laughed really loud ahah came out of no where!

  • Thanks

  • Is there a Wang Chung network? LOL! just kidding.

Can i land a good job with jus an Associates in Computer networking?

  • a degree means nothing

  • just cause you can't get a degree doens't mean it means nothing

  • yeah but certifications are more important

  • Bu there`s so many certifications which ones are the most popular to have?

  • really depends what area you want to specialize in most..for example the network administrator where I work has GSEC, GCIH and CEH certifications, which are all mostly security and incident response related. I would also say any SANS institute certifications are good too and reputable.

  • get the cia certification... it teaches you everything

  • Get the CIA one? but I wanna work for the FBI LOL

    whats the CIA?

  • CIA is the C|EH :)

  • wow this is really helpful Im currently studying networking and this is a big help. keep it up! :)

  • Hey I`ve been thinking about going back to school for computer networking, but I dont know wether to get an associates or go the 4 years?

  • most schools let you apply your assoc to a 4year degree. I'd say get your assoc and see if you can get into a networking job. That will help pay for the extra schooling and also give you somewhere to put all that knowledge to use. Helps you retain the info when you are working with it while learning. imho anyways

  • I was thinking about getting a career certificate in networking for now, would that help me?

  • I would think so, honestly anything more than a HS diploma always looks good. Some companies have some pretty high standards, but sometimes if they see someone with a cert. and the intent of getting a full degree they will look favorably on it. Never hurts to try. And most classes you do for a cert can be put towards a degree as well.

  • so you're saying that u you can go to a four year college once you complete an a associates degree? But do you think they'll accept all the credits

  • that depends on the school and the exact classes you take. I'd suggest researching it a bit and speak to a councilor to make sure the transition will go smoothly. but yeah most of the classes tend to be the same. so a lot of schools will take the credits. ie from a community college towards a university or state college. that is the typical transition.

  • you do great drawings! cheers! btw tnx

  • I don' get it.

  • cool

  • Can i make a request on making a tutorial for AJAX?

  • 1:54

  • Thats what she said lol

  • Why did you draw the wan as a jackolantern? I understand the correlation.

  • idk if thats a serious question...but thats supposed to be earth lol

  • i love the sgwiggly lines. and how discriptive this is. i almost stayed awake for this one =]

  • Great tutorial! Everyone should have a basic understanding of Ethernet and TCP/IP. You should really start by showing a new user how to utilize networking from his/her PC. Ping your loopback at 127.0.0.1

  • what no ethernet?

  • Nice job.

  • sweet my bro is studying this in college I should tell him about you =)

  • good guide

  • "MAN = typical reflection of male dominance over the female species; so they name a network after themselves, huh? why don't they name a network called Wo-Man? that's right, women are only referred to derogatorily. typical male chauvinist pigs. It's a mans world, built by men, for men."

  • we built a WOMAN network, (Wide Open Metro Area Network), but it only worked 3 weeks a month, and was way to much maintenance.

  • ROFL HAHAHAHAHA

  • LOL hahaha :)

  • fucking hell this is great. I love to learn, should be more general computer tutorials like this this was great.

  • Kool , when's the next one ?

  • n1 tutorial..

  • lol at 1:50 it looks like a mad or sad face
