Its larger size combined with advanced engineering features gives me the best in Big Block performance.The 8.1L engine produces peak horsepower and torque at lower RPMs and maintains a flatter torque curve. With my 02' i have killed powerstrokes and cummins in tug of wars, and for my truck being completely stock i runs low 15's in a 1/4 mile, which is fuckin fast consdiering my truck is meant for pulling. speed and power!

Yeah sorry about that. The jackass told me it was a V10 and I believed him instead of looking for myself. It has the 8.1 L V8. Something like 340Hp/455 Ft-lb if I remember correctly. That 8mpg is what they clocked the fuel mileage at though. It tows a pretty big fifth wheel and it could have been stop and go driving.

That was a dumb race. The D-max started waaay early (or the Ford driver was sleeping), and it's clearly modded to boot (stock D-max's don't make that much smoke, or go that fast). Even if it was stock, the D-max has 50 more HP and at least 200 more lbft of torque. It almost looks staged just for Chevy fanbois to beat off to. (Not bashing Chevys - just fanbois)

Absolutely. They pretty much need an outside company to build them a decent truck chassis and body. Dodge trucks have soo many quality issues, but those Cummins engines last longer than the mechanics. Anyone know when/if Sterling is making a chassis for their HD trucks?

Absolutely. They pretty much need an outside company to build them a decent truck chassis and body. Dodge trucks have soo many quality issues, but those Cummins engines last longer than the mechanics. Anyone know when/if Sterling is making a chassis for their HD trucks?

Press with more force and you can drop up to two gears as the tow/haul mode interprets your request for extra braking assistance. All of the downshifts were as smooth as the up shifts and seemed to come just as needed. Compared to the Allison transmission available for our tests, the TorqShift consistently performed better.
All and all if the Ford engineers benchmarked the Allison then they have at least for now built a better performing transmission.

Still couldn't keep up to a moderately tuned diesel, of any brand. It would take a lot more than a blower to touch what a diesel can do electronically.
