aww I didn't know about cspanjunkie... i loved that channel! the people who think they own us hate the internwebernets.

I opted out of email notifications, not sure if that's what you were asking. on my home page, under subscriptions, ICN didn't show up. But I will say that ICN is practically one of the few things I actually come back to youtube for. not to see something about makeup, adds for the mini cooper or clips of david letterman. ugh.

Lately, about the last 2 weeks, i have found many videos won't play unless you reload them 2 or 3 times and often the page scripts are corrupted unless reloaded. I have several PC's using different OS's and this happens on all of them, particularly on channels (like this) that offer alternative, non-mainstream news. There has also been an increase in vid player "crashes" These are not user caused. I fix PC's for a living. I would like to hear from others about this for survey purposes.

We have some new equipment this week and there was only one audio channel that came out. You can try to plug in speakers or headphones and you will hear only one side. Try to fix for next week's show.

If you mean, did I get a notification in my inbox? No, I never have. Also...I have noticed that YT has removed the time post on the subscription page so it is difficullt to know when that video was uploaded. Also, I just sent this video to my contacts and the email did not submit as it is not in my outbox. You would think they would want to make it more friendly for users. Another excellent example of ratings hyjack is actually on "TheAlexJones" channel, he has over 4 million channels views and a growing subscribers list (which grows about a 1000 a month) now registering nearly 50,000 subscribers but all of his videos the first day remain around 302 give or take. It makes no sense, you cant grow a 1000 people a month reaching the amount of subscribers displayed and record such a small handful of views, those with much less have much more growing less

I know I have not received notifications from other channels, and that the viewcount is frozen and often stops at 302 on channels youtube appears to prefer not to be as visible though it most likely enjoys keeping those channels because they most likely receive money for all the clicks. Youtube has been caught freezing the counters, only its partner channels which are uninformative go biserk when all their subscribers hit on them.

so do you post on the 16? or 19? this video was in my list of new vids. emails saying i have a new vid will arrive in a couple of weeks.. maybe.

oh and btw i bumped the number of views from 65 to 353 in about 4 minutes. youtube DOES'NT update in real time after 300. whether their updates are accurate is another matter. but at least several hours will pass before this counter moves past 353

I can see that user stewtrek logged in 17 minutes ago and was cheerful because he(she?) counted 353 viewers,

well, here I come 17 minutes later and I still read 353...

BTW, I am a professional of TV ratings.. (no kidding), so I counted roughly 1 viewer a minute about 2 hours ago, and now there have been 17 minutes without any viewers??? statistically that would have probability almost zero.

Its no bug..they are intentionally doing it. They delete accounts and censor view counts all the time. They don't want certain information to be know about.

I have noticed the removal of many videos. Almost daily I search youtube for "economic collapse" as I have for 2 years, and notice the gap for videos has grown. For instance it will show recent activity, then a gap to a month ago, when I know for certain there were many videos in between. 214 views

well.. I checked immediately after my previous post, and I see 16 now... so let's see: it took me 10 minutes to watch the whole clip... 7 viewers every 10 minutes, if it would be constant throughout the day, it should add up to at least 1000 viewers a day... we'll wee what will it show tomorrow...

I'm subscribed and did get notification ok of this video.

On the view count issue I've heard there are 'check points' in a utube channel popularity where the count freezes because they do some kind of verification that the counts to that level are genuine. Once checked it operates normally until the top of that viewcount band is reached. (Why it should be necessary to freeze video viewcounting pending the audit, I'm not sure)
