Shortly after this wreck, I think Steve Butler retired. Not sure, but I think so. Also the Salem Speedway owners built a short-flat figure 8 track in the infield. Totally trashed the history of that historic place. Just call it a smaller version of the Sportsdrome Speedway in Clarksville. Not happy!!
