This is the most dangerous snake of all. Extremely fast, aggressive, and poisonous. Bites repeatedly, and will attack without any provocation. Make sure you run the other way fast if you ever see one. This one means business.
@faibarlinc999 I have never come across such info while researching for my documentary on Black Mambas but many cultures utilized venomous snakes, so why not...
In every snake study I read, the Vipers, especialy Pit Vipers are considered the most advanced snake with the most advanced venom delivery system. They have long hinged fangs that can fold when not in use. Also, the Coastal Taipan has a similar venom delivery system to the Black Mamba and some herpitologists consider them related through convergent evolution. On the other hand, Mamba/Taipan venom is faster acting than Vipers. Let me know what you think.
@XSBurningKiller1 I would love to film wildlife in Australia, which is such an interesting country with a wide variety of extremely dangerous animals. I'll have to establish some contacts to a few Australian wildlife enthusiasts first to be pointed in the right direction. let me know if you want to get involved. Thanks.
@solidkid4 That's a very good question. Most reptiles (including snakes) are immune to their own venom but there are exception. Some cobras show swellings after inflicting a self bite or being bitten by the same species but they don't die. I'm not sure in case of mambas.
@ojatro nice... well heres another. whaaaaaat if one mamba bites another?!?!? at some point wouldn't they carry the same venom and if not what makes one venom more toxic than the next?!?! things that make you go hmmmmm!! (or at least myself :)
@solidkid4 Most species of snakes are immune to their own venom. Not sure about Black mambas but I'll follow up on that question. Thanks for watching.
Everything has been evolving for the same amount of time, it's wrong to say something is more evolved than something else. You can say they are more adapted, more skilled, more.... anything else, not evolved
@HeyHeyHarmonicaLuke Mistakes are there to be made. Evolve means changes over generation and an adaptation can take place instantly. I'm sure Joe is aware of its meaning. Thanks for watching.
@dinotooth The black mamba is the most advanced snake in delivering its venom effectively in reference its myology. There are many reasons why Ophiophagus hannah is called King Cobra. Primary because its the largest venomous snake on our planet.
Just wanna say thanks for uploading, all your videos are very fun. Especially for me I am a avid snake lover. I have a male Ball Python and I plan to continue purchasing snakes because they are one of the most interesting creatures on the planet in my opinion.
@fearingpredators All black mamba bite victims die without anti-venom. Cobra bites are survivable without anti-venom in about 40% of cases, apparently.

The king cobra caused the fastest death time on humans bitten by snakes.
Presently, the king cobra and black mamba cause the highest mortality rate (about 1/3 of the victims bitten die).
