I absolutely love her shirt and hair. Then again, I love everything about Shirley and Garbage. Awesome music, video and was a fun song to do for karaoke!
I was at the concert in Madison, Wisconsin when they were filming this video. I had totally forgotten about it, but now I remember it vividly. Everyone pushed hard towards the front because they wanted to be in the video. Garbage played the song twice. I remember Shirley Manson getting really, really mad at the crowd between takes because we weren't being intense enough. I still haven't spotted myself in the crowd (and probably won't), but I'm loving the memories.
Back when women rockers rocked and sang for real! Not the cheesy lip sync and whorish costumes worn by lamo's like Kesha, britney spears and the like.
The first ever album I bought was "Version 2.0", in 1998. I was wondering between it and "Hello, nasty" from the Beastie boys. In the end, I got both and both changed my life. Love them.
@platovaya Seems you're talkbing about my life I did exactly the same thing, I didn't have enough coins to buy Hello, nasty. I bought it two weeks later, though.
The vast majority of my favorite bands are from the 90s and they had a large impact on me as I was growing up. But my main regret is not being able to see all those bands live anymore. The vast majority of them have disbanded, died of drug overdose, or gone solo. It really is a shame. Watching these old videos really makes me feel nostalgic.
This video was quite possibly shot Nov 18, 1998 @ the Dane Co. Coliseum in Madison Wi. The entire show was filmed & this song was played twice to get footage to be used for this video.
@Monchonimus They shot the footage in St Louis and Madison - I have bootlegs of both shows where you can watch the crew filming the song, and the band of course mention that they are filming to the crowd.
On July 12th 1998 Garbage were playing a show in Scotland. It rained that day.

I used to sing this song 12 years ago day and night, and really believing that: "When I grow up I'll be stable"... what a naive 15 year old :D
