In all fairness the C.Viper didn't have any decent combo's or mixups, just random jumps and special move spams pretty much. C.Viper can combo into the MP Lightning in a variety of ways, also there was no distancing with the floor explosions. I'm guessing he's not a confident C.Viper, or at least a newcomer. I play random 100% and I can play a better Viper and Ryu.

Yes, most of the Shoto characters do have trouble with a good Bison (dictator) I can't tell you how many times I've beaten Ken players with the Head Stomp and Devil's reverse as my main offensive attacks. Unless they have experience with a good Bison player, it's almost always gonna go to Bison.

I think Ryu's hardest match is Blanka...that's just my opinion..

Yeah Blanka can be a Nightmare against most projectile characters. Even a fairly unskilled Blanka can still sometimes be a challenge because your projectiles can be punished if they're not properly combo'd into and also jumping is very unsafe vs a Blanka.

yeah...he can slide under fireballs....ex roll through them, cross you up with the rainbow roll...great wake up game with electricity...ultra hits low then high and takes of loads of energy....you're right...even a fairly unskilled Blanka can cause a projectile character serious trouble..

no if your good jumping in with lk right when he wakes up you will either trade hits on ex version but if its not ex and you jump in while he tries to elec you you will hit him before the animation starts and well good game... blanka gets punished by a good ryu or ken

I'm not saying I can't beat Blanka with Ryu or Ken, I was just agreeing with the guy that said Blanka is a hard match vs Ryu, and I agreed for all projectile characters in general.

The point is Blanka comes out on priority for many trades but he's still beatable. It's only really the same as a Shoryuken wake up. You just block and counter so no problems there, and you'd have to be silly to stand at the wrong distance spamming projectiles against a counter character.
