try shadow boxing a couple punches or like 3 combos after you rest from each of the sets, that will get your shoulders burning 5x more just by keeping them up like that
There is no quicker way to turn someone into an exhausted, vomiting mess than burpees...if you did nothing else at all but burpees, I would bet that you could still be in great shape and even have a certain amount of muscle tone...the best single exercise in the world...only kettlebell snatches can compare, and those obviously require a kettlebell...
Incredible display of general fitness. Well done. Can't imagine how hard that was. Assume you were fairly sore the next day unless you do that often. Thanks for posting. Great video.
i did a variation of this for boxing where you countdown 3:00 on the timer and the first 30 sec you do burpees then the following 30 sec shadowbox, so on and so fourth till the clock reaches zero i ended up doing 5 x 3 minute rounds it was brutal but i'm definetely improving i can feel it.
Great suggestion! Especially with doing it for a specific amount of time versus doing a specific number of reps. Easier to break it down into smaller chunks.
really, burpees is a southern redneck term? that's interesting since i'm from new york city and hispanic and i call them burpees. are you sure you're just not ignorant or something?

dude, i have never heard this term ever in my life...not on tv, nowhere, not from gym teachers, not from wrestling coaches, not from anyone in 22 years--they are squat thrusts
Try googleing squat thrust.. A squat thrust is a burpee without the push up and the jump, basically a easier variant of the burpee. Why so bastant about the name? Surely you are no expert?
No, there is no set standard for the 100 burpee challenge.. it is not a sport.. only a conditioning test. What is important is that you do it the same way every time, this way you will know if you have improved or not.
That beeing said, this was a long time ago. I now jump high and put both my hands over my head. I do not clap tho..:D
Hey man. I just did this again today. Time dropped from 9:48 to 8:50. But my form wasn't as good as yours I think, but glad it was done. I was on the floor afterward for like 5 minutes trying to catch my breath. You could actually walk. :D
Wow! That was a great improvement!! Congrats mate! I suspect that I still have a long ways to go when it comes to pushing myself through my limits, but I am getting better every month.
Very respectable good job, I just did a burpee based workout to. 20 Kettlebell swings then 10 burpees immediately back to The swings no rest. 200 swings in total and 100 burpees i felt like i was hit by a hurricane after
Ohhh...I just know that workout hurts..Lately I have been doing 10burpees-100rope turns-10burpees and so on untill I reach 100burpees. It is a great workout, mostly aerobic but with hints of anaerobic work.
It is one of those workouts where you have to convince your brain to shut up (it tells you to stop and take a loooong break..:) and just drop down to finish the last ones..
Start with 20-50 and work from there. Burpees rock!
You paced yourself and finished strong, that's all that matters man! Thank you for inspiring me to work on 100 challenge as well. I can only get up to 60 and maybe 78 if I really try .
Hey bro nice burpees, i have experienced that burpees are the hardest challenge ever, and it doesn't matter what type or form it is

Super Mega Respect!
Don't You Have To Be All Buff To Do Those?
CamilaCatastrophe 2 years ago
no you actually don't it depends on training like if you begin and you can do 15 then the next day 20 and then maybe 22 and then 25 etc.

going a little slow for my taste, but nice job

In contrast to what I wrote to bigboyburnsy below, just going all-out for a certain # of reps (or until you can't do anymore) is ALSO a great idea!
I'm seeing it's like any other fitness approach: Just manipulating / emphasizing some factors and not others.
But I like how you were checking the time. (I think that's what you were doing.)
Awesome cardio display, mister!

:) It is hard for anyone as long as it is done with high jumps and with a rapid cadence.. That is the magic of burpees!

I will, I need to find a substitute for running. Especially for those rainy days and super sunny days...hell even the cold days

I can only do 78 of these, although after more practice I'll probably be able to get to 100.
