@thefunnyman32123 Actually you are right the little interlude solo is the same as the version i have on my ipod. I still wonder how he got that guitar tone in the solo it's awesome!
The Guitar In this isn't actually the real thing It's too distorted. If you listen to the real Guitar on the studio version it is a lot more clearer and has less gain.
@QueenRulez this is from the 5.1 version one of the channels is this they also have another that balances out the distortion, trust this is the real thing
@MrShnoxdog Was thinking the same ;) There are some similarities, it's the same kind of style, I'd say. Luckily I'm not the only one hearing some similarities lol
@jamesabrook the first 5000 who bought the Limited edition box set of the resistance got a 5.1 dvd of the album with this extended version with that guitar solo^^ got one myself :D search for unnatural selection extended and it's there :)
wtf! where did those guitars come from?? i hadent noticed them, and i though i had pretty much decoded muse songs. btw Queen much? sounds like awesome fun to make
@ellissapurser The guitar solo intro is an obvious Queen homage, it's undeniable. But the reason you wouldn't have heard them before is because this version of Unnatural Selection was only released on a surround sound DVD version of the album. Which was limited to just 5000.
@Jimtophius - It's not vocoder, it was just fed into two types of distortion and switched between the two :), to be honest it sounds like it's been EQ'd like that, the first one definitely sounds distorted with high treble, and the second is lighter distortion with low treble + mid >.<
@Salguodnz Few bands do. The .dts files are the songs in surround sound, and very few bands release their music like that.
I use a program called Tranzcode to split the tracks.
Keep in mind though, you won't be able to completely separate every instrument from the rest. The output is through 6 speakers, and you can only separate the file into those 6 tracks.

Anyone know where that bit from 0:37 to 1:02 comes from? It's not on the full version....like the random synths on the Starlight "Instrumental"

this is awesome, how do you separate the song?
mrsradioheart 2 years ago 2
You get the .dts track and use a program to split the channels.

@Lordiisgod what program?
do many bands release the .dts files?
i would love to have drums and no vocals or vice versa haha
