maybe RT can do a story on china in africa, maybe the Nov. 2008 Zambia presidential elections> teh whole country was outraged when the Chinese ambassador endorsed the incumbent.
teh Lusaka Times reported that over 70,000 chinese had been issued residence permits. the govt disputed this, claiming @ 2,600. the letters to the editor told the story. one man said there were over 500 chinese in his township, that he'd worked with them, that they had no skills.

this man went on to say that some of the chinese he worked with told him that they'd been sent to Zambia to serve prison sentences working on chinese infrastructure projects, instead of doing time in a chinese prison.
this is going on all over africa. in another letter to the editor, a man said chinese were opening food stalls in markets...that takes skills, right?
after the Madagascar coup d'etat, leases of farmland to south korean agro firms were annulled and then granted to chinese firms.
