  • Great work. Very interesting!

  • On youtube look up The Mikado- On a tree by a river (Tit Willow) you will find the song.

  • @rob92376 Yes saw that also. Interesting that AL Allen sang this abscure song to his students when he was a teacher and we find these words in the Zodiac letters. Prints don't match on the Stein cab and missing DNA? I can't say Allen is the one but he is right up there.

  • Zodiac went to some lengths to cite his preparation of the "death machine" bomb. He presented his plan, naming the parts that would be used, and levied the threat to use it. But, he didn't. If his intent was to sow tremendous fear amongst the general public, he succeeded. If his intent was to scare parents about their children on school buses, he succeeded. But, then again, he didn't attack a school bus. It is apparent that he enjoyed scaring the public with these threats.

  • Farmers used to blow out stumps with fertilizer too. I don't think you can infer anything at all from him knowing that you could make an explosive that way.

  • Basements! Basements!

In the north bay town of Vallejo, it is called split-housing as the developers call it-split-housing.

I agree with the previous poster, Zodiac configured his image of bombmaking from a anarchist cookbook which anybody could of got through a surplus store. I skimmed through a copy at Don's Surplus in Livermore,Calif. Freakish literature.

  • there is a book called the anarchist's cookbook that he could have gotten the technical stuff from. I mean the bombs and devises. it is a commonly known book. it shows you how to kill people etc.

  • He also could have got it from the his possible military experience.

Lee Harvey Oswald also had a 'survivalists manual' that included information about improvised bombs, that he was given as part of his Marine training.

  • crackpot

  • a 'older male' acting like a delighted male teenager = affected, effeminate...

in the letter, '...it won't do to...' is more, 'I shall...' type effeminate affectation...

the Bates murder - if it was A.L.Allen and if Allen's the Zodiac - was an immensely personal act and it would be reasonable that he would not have included this murder in his 'general' tally... aside from anything, it was too close to home...

  • Great series. Please commet on the Tit Wilo comments in the letters from zodiac and also Arther Leigh Allen's usage of this phase. Keep up the good work.

  • @lvdld I did a research on yahoo Tit Willo an came up with a Sullivan Arthur Tit Willo Song Mikado Act 1. I believe its that what it is in reference to. robert

  • great movie! fuckyeah bubble hornt snake carnegie massive

  • My opinion about his bomb plot is that he read somewhere about such device but was not savvy enough to deploy his plan and was only bragging and showing off how 'smart' he is in a sense that he had to overcome the fact that he almost got caught. In his crime evolution, he probably wanted to do something like that, to distance himself from the actual killing and to show how smart and daring he is. Same applies to school bus story.

  • Please somebody buy this dude a bar of soap, shampoo, and a comb. He looks like a San Francisco street person.

  • f you

  • I just wanted to say that I don't believe this guy would have stopped killing by 1979. Unless he found another way to get attention, I doubt he would have stopped writing letters; if he were alive today they would be e-mails.

My theory is that atleast by the early 1980s, the guy committed suicide. I think it makes sense because he was lonely, angry, and perhaps depressed.

  • Dr. Van Nuys, SF police never confirmed the brief conversation. One officer died very soon. The other appeared on ABC a few years ago but only pointed out the spot of the encounter, no description of dialogue.

I tend to believe Zodiac. He was specific in terms of being called over and asked if he had seen anything suspicious. Those sound like logical techniques for police, not merely visually rejecting because he was white and not black, the faulty initial description.

  • Amazing WORK , very entertaining your work is amazing dr. i just watched all your episodes one after another plz do not stop keep up the sweet work looking forward to next episodes,

    Ontario, Canada

  • Dr Van Nuys, I do appreciate what you are doing. Thank you.

  • Dave rules!!!

  • Quite interesting and insightful! Please, keep up the wonderful work!

  • These are all awesome. The insight just seems to sink in more when you listen to someone say it rather than reading what they have to say.

    Keep up the good work!
