A cheeseburger with spicy mustard is fancy ? My cheeseburger has mayo, bacon, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, mustard and relish. Oh, I forgot: the hamburger is mixed with an egg, oatmeal, salt, freshly ground pepper and a touch of garlic powder. I hardly think that Mr. Obama's cheeseburger was fancy. By the way, my ingredients are listed bottom to top if you plan on trying one; the meat is rolled thin bigger than the bun, barbecued slowly and the cheese is dropped on just after flipping the burger.

You had 60% turn out of voters in 2008. He beat McCain by a little over 7 million votes. He was in no way elected by the majority of people in this country. Rush understands what real Americans who actually work for living think. His numbers are going up, not down.

Well, I listen to Rush more than most the people who are commenting. Facts are facts. His ratings are going up, which he predicted with an Obama win. When the President of United States singles out a radio talk show host, you cannot get any more proof that Rush is popular.

I have heard him say things that when taken out of context can be construed by some as bigoted and racist. That's because anyone who questions the way race is dealt with is called a racist.

It got really bad when the guy who got the most votes didn't become president in 2000, but the real beginning was when Bill Clinton beat George HW Bush and became president.

The conservatives were pissed that Bill Clinton humiliated Bush senior, that he won with just 43% of the vote made it worse. They spent the next 8 years trying to destroy the Clinton's, culminating in impeachment.

When the 2000 election came around, Bush won the presidency after losing the popular vote because of a supreme court decision, which pissed off the Democrats.

It's a longer story than that, but basically those events are what led to the partisanship and divisiveness we see today.
