I really cannot believe how much his swing has changed.
Using that big leg kick as a timing mechanism was brilliant. If he turned on the pitch in that video the was he does today that would have been a moon shot into the left field bleachers instead of a wall scraper into right.
Look at how different his swing looks. His timing and his loading mechanism are completely different now. He took that pitch the other way with power which shows what scouts have been saying for years: he has natural power. However, his load was always so late that even with his great bat speed he had a hard time turning on inside fastballs. Now his load is earlier in his swing and he has a far easier time getting on top of good fastballs. It also makes it easier for him to see the ball well.

Actually, this is form January 2009, from the '08-'09 Winter League season.
That's the game 2 (I think) of the final series.
