For Milleniums, art has always been in form of paper and ink. Even with computerised graphics, people still learn to draw and paint with hands. For what? for the origin and beauty of art.

So for "art director", I'm letting nintendo win this one. 3D animation can go stuff off, it's something that requires more logic then "art".

i voted for this only bc mw2 wasnt here. mw2 fits the description of all the arguments for games , except this one. this ones unique in the manor that it looks good to me, and ive never played 2d on anything other than super nintendo

It's ART not GRAPHICS. ART IS A IMAGE OF COLORS. I didn't even like this game that much but it's better in Art Direction.

Picking a game like Borderlands for this is like picking Modern Warfare 2 for best DLC. Great games but they don't have the requirements for the award.

honestly, its an ARTIST game, the game shows great amount of art and the fact that its not like any of those 3-D graphics for 2-D its AMAZING I don't care about bad comments but at least this game is awe inspiring for artwork.
