This looks like an awesome sport. What type of kayaks are they? I know most of them are Ocean Kayaks but what model are they? I didnt know you could hang your feet off the side like that.

Ok prowlers and a scuppers... you will see some tarpon 16's ... i have since gone to a hobie pro angler... sitting side sadle is super comfortable... check out texaskayakfishermen on line... lots of great rigging tips... also check out my kayak fishing talk show yakntexas on youtube...ty

Awesome videos and congrats on the kayak magazine feature. I love fishing pins and want to get a Hobie and finally make it out to the rigs with some friends.
@tyonthefly thank you i found it later. i made one last night! i plan on making a few more! i used rebar and a bench grinder it has a round point, but im going to make a few with cutting edge tips just to try a few. ill make a vid or something when its done
wow im so glad i came upoun this! i really really want to land a cobia, im live in va and plan on going after them when they make their way back into the bay. this is the first good film iv seen on landing a cobia! i cant wait to get out. thank you for the great vid kayak fishing is the best!
Just watched one the BEST OFFSHORE KAYAK VIDEOS TY.. dude I have seen plenty.. this was FULL OF ACTION.. and GREAT FOOTAGE, pics, and music of course.. you guys are crazy handling those Cobias like that, arent their dorsal spikes POISONOUS.. Ive heard you get caught on those it hursts like hell and they say poinonous because the 'itching" is like poison ivy.. LOL.. Be careful nextime.. BUT GREAT VID... Tight Lines.. FISH ON!!!
Cobia are fish, they are great eating, especially on the grill. Looks like a remora, but taste great. Those other fish are spadefish, they look like angel fish, they are a schooling fish that love structure like pilings on rigs. Inshore, the fish are juvenile, and on the small side. Offshore these fish get over 5 pounds, and are a hell of a fight on light tackle. Picture a giant bluegill fight on lite tackle. They are excellant tasting fish, very light flaky fillet eats like flounder, snapper..
Awesome job fellas! So is a cobia a fish or a shark? Do you just fillet them out? and the one that kinda looks like a pan fish on steroids that you speared do they taste good? Really interesting. Recommending your channel to some buddies. What kinda camera do you guys use? I was thinking of trying the kodak playsport on some of my hunting and fishing adventures.
Howdy greetings from Beeville!! me and my brother just started kayak fishing a month ago or so we saw your video and we just hit that same rig about 3 or 4 days ago Thanks for the vid I was always wondering about how far that was hehe it was a fun day of fishing and being out that far on the kayak without your cool vid we wouldnt have done it Thanks alot and post on your site if you guys ever go out again and want some more company hehe =P!
@arrowslingnTV lol i see poor flounder ending up as our dinner. well i target red trout and flounder only so i seldom target the other fish but if those 3 i want are not around i will target other fishy for the fryer
Best kayak fishing on the net can't wait to get my ok prowler 13 down there from Houston and get in on that action. Great shows really enjoy the music too.
i use a tarpon 16' for the offshore stuff.... some of these guys do real well with prowler 13' yaks... no problems... for offshore long or wide or both is best...
