I'm one of them. I'm Puerto Rican and though Puerto Rico is not particularly a huge Metal island there are many Metal Heads there. Mexico is big Metal country so are Chile & Argentina. As far as non Hispanic Latin countries Brasil is a major Metal country. I'd there are alot.

They're boring as hell. Not the style which they were known for before AYDY was released. The songs in AYDY consisted of simple riffs and a couple of solos, and the keyboards almost completely took a backseat.

Blooddrunk they took the keyboards back in, but the style was too different to what I and many others liked them for. It's more mainstream, as compared to their style back in Hatebreeder or Something Wild.

Go check out Sir Lord Baltimore, They are legitimately the first, even Black Sabbath talks about them on Metal: A Headbangers Journey, I believe. Sir Lord Baltimore has a very similar sound to black sabbath, distorted sound and all. Also check out Triumphatus Sad by Jacula

But if you've ever listened to Hellhammer/Early celtic frost, then It's basically the 1969 version of it. Also check out cromagnon's "Caledonia". Don't expect guitars because its all bagpipes, however listen to the vocals now and again, proto black metal.

@Starchild132 Its hard to say, however look into Sir Lord Baltimore, they are a great band and are very comparible to Black Sabbath. Also look up Triumphatus Sad - Jacula. Its from 1969, more or less interesting to listen to than something groovy, although it definitely retains a very retro sound (well it is the 60's!). That's the only song on the album that sounds like that, but they are probably one of if not THE first group to experiment with such a heavy sound. Fuck mainstream. thanks.

Also if you want To take a peek at Proto Black Metal (Basically Black Metal before Black Metal) look up Caledonia - Cromagnon. Very strange vocals, and those hippies definitely created something they thought would never expand into such a masterpiece.  Not neccesairly the song, but I guarantee they influnced that vocal style for sure.
