Hogan and Savage always had good Boston matches in the 80s. I believe Hogan and Savage only wrestled one another in singles competiton about two times during 1986 in Boston. The first encounter took place in May and the second encounter took place in June. Obviously this is the June match.
@detchuck The WWF title was recognized as a world title at the time by PWI and other wrestling magazines. From 1971 to 1983, it was considered a regional title because Vince McMahon Sr. was a member of the National Wrestling Alliance.
@pats14fann01 Savage may not have been the Intercontinental Champion at the time. Idiot. Elizabeth wasn't dubbed the First Lade of Wrestling until the late 80s. MORON.
They fought for the better part of both there entire WWF careers and beyond
and at the start of Hogans first championship run he battled Macho Man several times and Savage won by countout, DQ and almost won by pinfall. then 4 yrs later they were battling at WrestleMania 5 for real.
One of the best fueds ever, since it was based on a real hatred and 2 of the most popular performers of that era.
Anyone know what yr this was? Must be 1987ish I am guessing because they are talking about how savage was the intercon champ I am guessing must be shortly after wrestlemainia 3?
They been fighting for a good while ever since December 21 of 1985. Macho Man was still considered new to the WWF but his impressions ever since his debut against that jobber to the stars man made the WWF fans know Macho Man was gonna stay for a LONG time.
Man, I miss going to stuff like this at the Garden in the late 80s early 90s. I saw some awesome Hogan and Savage matches there. Savage flying off the top of the cafe was always amazing.
You're welcome. I think they met in the ring for the first time on December 31st 1985 at MSG when Savage got the win by disqualification and thought that he had won the belt...
so who is it that we r all supposed 2 notice sitting in the front row? i've watched this vid a couple times and can't seem 2 figure it out. how bout telling us the time mark?
and yet they both team up and beat kim jon il

@1966065015 That's because it is fake. The fights are all choreographed and the WWF is a gimmic.

@AmericanPride1234 it's '86, says in the description, and savage lost the IC title at WM 3 to Steamboat

@AmericanPride1234 savage won the I.C Feb, 86 and had it until WM 1987 so it sounds on the money to me.
