5.7 is a 350 a 5.0 is a Vortec (305)

they're both vortec motors, along with the 454 and 4.3 v6 that year.

someone said their truck couldn't do this and it had the 350...my tires are huge and have tons of tread and it'll still burn 'em easily.

ya same here i got a 350 in my 73' chevy C20 (w/ posi =] ) and i can rip em all day. =]

but i choose not to cuz tires are expensive. =[

nice burnout. those of you that cant do it, maybe ur tires have too much tread, burnouts are best with 'experienced' tires, and make sure your not holding the brake in too much, try giving it gas them pushing lightly on the brakes and you should be able to do a stand still
