seriously, what kind of security is at the airport where the guy can just hide in the starboard wing on THREE flights of a multi-million dollar aircraft?
and dont even get me started on trapped in the sky :P
One of the best episodes of the series. @AfrocanUK and @NathanF11989: Just as well they weren't called Benton Aircraft Espionage, they would have the rather unfortunate acronym of BAE... Also just seen this episode on Syfy, the second shot of Gordon holding the cables together was cut, curiously...
When I was small I saw this episode as a movie with the episode Trapped in the Sky made by Festival Videos and was called Thunderbirds to the Rescue, and to this day, those 2 episodes I still think are the best. I watched it just a few hours ago.
It always used to be bug me as to how first the Hood wanted to destroy Fireflash, and then these guys -- that's 4 times it ran into trouble! Geez, they really didn't like this plane. xD
@Afrocanuk The gang wasn't called Benton Aircraft Espionage. The newsreader said "the international gang bent on aircraft espionage" meaning whoever the gang were they were absolutely determined to sabotage the Fireflash. Sorry for being so nitpicky.
and why did the airport tighten up on security.....as the sabatour obviously got into the wing of the fireflash in the aircraft hanger or was an inside man posing as a repairman.
I first saw this episode on a Channel 5 video from the 80's I didn't want it to end! So much suspense in this episode, definitely one of my favourites out of all of them!
Why did Gordon shoot him? He would have died anyway :P

Huh, the unit Scott uses at the beginning of this video has Prototype clearly written on the side. Is that a prototype mobile control unit perhaps?

this episode is probably the closet scott has to come to death

@kingofburnttoast Yep. Gordon is the only Tracy brother to actually kill someone in the series.

Is it possible to hold two half of a live wire together like Gordon did? i asked my old physics teacher this but he never gave me an answer
SirCalcium 3 months ago
So 2 minutes after he said they had 15 minutes they have 4 minutes :D
ragerancher 3 months ago
i think the suggestion through out the series is that gordon is also good with electronics, this is why he is on TB5 fixing the radio in 'Ricochet'

7:10 - At least that shot of laughter looks and sounds a whole lot friendlier (and not quite as frightening) as *that* moment from Thunderbird 6 :D

The scale changes from Trapped in the the Sky to this episode (from TB2 and the plane) ... It becomes giant here ! =D

I love it. Gordon and Alan don't star as much as Scott and Virgil, so it was great that they have important pieces in this episode. :)

Also, if they're at 40,000ft, Gordon wouldn't be able to walk around in that wing without his mask on!

If Benton Aircraft Espionage had enough money to suit their desperation they probably would've tried a hostile take-over instead.

magnificant.
2 questions: 1. Did Gordon get a shock???
2. Why is the TV presenter talking like Virgil??
Firemarioflower 1 year ago
@Firemarioflower Because the actor playing Virgil's voice also voiced the TV presenter.

What I don't get is the motivation of the Sabatours, why are they sabataging the Fireflash in the first place.
DanDud88 2 years ago
Perhaps industrial espionage.

LOL, i agree, unlessthey just want the company finacially ruined or soemthing else, maybe they don't like the plane!
