@brett18uk perhaps you were watching footage from their Olympic performance? This one is from Worlds, in Ottawa. Same string of 6.0's at the end, but different event & performance.

The best ice dance ever; so elegant and timeless. These two deserve their legend. I love Jayne's petiteness and grace; and the dress was also fabulous.

My be I am a little bias, but hands down I have never seen another couple skate so graceful and on point with the music. I get that ice skating has changed, but now it is a bit too rough for me. Torvill and Dean are set in stone.

They danced as one. Elegant and classy.I saw them in person in Toledo in 1985 and I had chills running up my spine. We could hear their blades slicing the ice.

There is an indelible impression of flight in the way they move across the ice as one. It would be a brave (and heartless) judge who didn't award a 6. For some of us, Bolero is always purple and lasts only four and a half minutes.

It was also a kinder and more innocent time, when we found it easy to say 'Great Britain' and when perfection (not banality) was applauded.
