Take your faceplate off and hard drive if you have one find a box thats big enought for the system wrap in somthing protective like bubble wrap or somthing then all i did was print out my address and city/state and phone numbers

Little update people. This unit I received by the end of last september is still working. Nothing to complain about it but the EXTREME noise from the fans and DVD player. It's EXTREMELLY loud and a REAL factor when playing at night but it keeps a very, very low temperature and worked for it's first 3 months with me flawlessly.

After the free month expired it didn't go back to charging my cc monthly and it took me a few weeks to find out that I had been downgraded to a silver account. I found out when I tried to join a MP online match of Halo 3 and it didn't let me join.

Mine DOES have the new GPU heatsink, wich is a big improvement in heat dissipation for the system. There is a VERY remote possibility that they are including 65nm CPU chips when remanufacturing consoles that need a CPU replacement. Again, this is a VERY remote possibility but it's also impossible to completely rule out.

I leave My console in a very open and well ventilated area, no enclosed space at all and I keep it on the horizontal position.

My 360 has the copper tube CPU Heatsink but stays abnormally cold. The unit I sent in didn't have HDMI so the one I got back also doesn't. Basically you'll receive a console with the same features of the one you sent in: You send an Elite, you get an Elite, send a core, get a core, send a Pro w/o HDMI, get a pro w/o HDMI.

I called for repairs on 9/1 and got this replacement delivered on 9/27.

It's still working. It has a Hitachi DVD drive, Delta DC Brushless fans, the new GPU heatsink, the regular CPU heatsink, manuf. date 7/15/2007 and the fans spin very fast, making the system very loud but on the other hand the system stays very cool all the time. After 6 hours playing HALO 3 the bottom part of the console (when on horizontal) was 95% at room temperature, what is very unusual for a 360.
