I've always told that the bullying I've received as a child was my fault. "Support" in my case dosen't exist.

A great entry: I have had my experiences with the police. Where they don't understand ...or believe, that I was not trying to create waves.
It will take a lot of work, I guess, for them to be educated. But I think the point is: if this has happened to you, you are not alone! Society is not often "understanding"; let alone, able to understand what they have never had experience with.

People positively wallow in this diagnosis. I mean get on with your life and stop using this as an excuse for every misfortune in your life.
There are plenty of NT's who do the same s* as aspies, and have to answer for their actions.
So aspies just need to blend in, and use their special talents. Endlessly whining about themselves isn't one of them. Just identifies them as "high maintenance".

No offense, but if you don't have it: you don't know about it! (And in such a case, WHY criticize where you don't understand?) It IS very very hard; and society ALSO needs to fit in with us too; to understand, and ...be human/e. With respect.

Sadly I have found police to be dismissive of the Asperger cards. A neighbour presented one (in front of me) to the police and they said "yes, yes, we know" and rolled their eyes. If anything it exacerbated the roughness of the police. The only thing we can encourage is special case criminal justice education.

Thanks for addressing the issue of suicide... a very important issue, indeed. I think gathering the voices of a wise tribe of "Asperelders" would be very powerful, offer hope, and potentially save lives.

I am tempted to have such cards in my pocket even though I am not suffering from asperger. It would be awesome. I can act like a first class moron and just have a card in my pocket saying "Hey, I am suffering from asperger. So don't put me in cuffs or put me in jail". That would be great!
