I am so glad our cars DO NOT look like this. I mean think about it. Sure we do not have the tech like the retro sci fi shows, but we have cars like the TranStar Dagger GT to take care of them without the use of rockets. The future to me has gotten better except the financial crisis.

ur review, though semi funny, sucked. 1st off this game rocks. There are crazy hidden short cuts that aren't the obvious fork in the road. One night stage theres a glowing bridge that goes straight to the sky! Get better at the game and then do a more apt review

@mirrorseye - I can't believe that I'm actually saying this, but he clearly said "3597" multiple times... "3587" will clearly not be anywhere near as good as "3597"... A bit like the year 2000 was nowhere near as good as the year 2010 that we're currently still in at the moment! I could go on about the differences between CRT and LED televisions, plus the major differences in mobile phones these days, but you know... You get the point that I'm trying to make! ;-)

Seems everybody is piling on, but for what it's worth...

This isn't really a good representation of what racing games were capable of in 1993. It just represents what they did on 2D consoles, where they always just made arcade racers and not sims.

The Papyrus NASCAR and IndyCar games for the PC came out around this time, and were comparable to modern simulators. Graphics aren't as good as the modern games but the physics are great.

I remember this game, and the awesome music! I know that the original Outrun also has amazing music and gameplay, too. I also like how 2019 doesn't include aliens or flying cars. It seems that people always expect too much from the future. However, if I could choose from flying cars or YouTube, I think I'd still choose the future that really happened!
